Jennifer Lopez and best friend Leah Remini reconnect after falling out in 2022 over ‘selfish’ Ben Affleck

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Two pals have reignited their friendship! Leah Remini and her best friend, Jennifer Lopez, have reconnected amid the pop star’s marital issues, after the BFFs had a falling out before her marriage to Ben Affleck, according to Marca. 

As per sources, the longtime friends had a disagreement before Jennifer Lopez's marriage to 'Batman' actor, Ben Affleck in 2022. The fight was a result of Remini expressing reservations about the actor, although Lopez went on to marry him anyway.

What happened between Jennifer Lopez and Leah Remini? 

Remini had warned Lopez to remember the reason she originally broke up with the 'Gone Girl' star when they first dated in 2002: “Because he is selfish and is not fully committed as a partner."

“JLo was so mad, she cut off all ties, and did not invite Remini to their wedding," the source said as per Marca. 

Remini did not attend the couple's wedding in Georgia in August 2022, which was attended by Matt Damon, his 'Clerks' co-star Jason Mewes, and director Kevin Smith.

In July, Lopez and Affleck eloped to Vegas for their first wedding ceremony. Remini has reportedly been eager to get back in touch with her old best friend since Lopez and Affleck are having trouble. 

"They were friends for years,” a source told Page Six earlier this week. “She wants to reach out to her, but she can’t just call up and say, ‘I told you so'.”

Ben Affleck and his pop star wife are determined to "fix things" in their reportedly troubled marriage and are adamant about avoiding divorce, as per reports by ET. 

The source revealed, "Jen has been feeling pressure with all her work commitments and Ben is more chill and doesn't care about Hollywood and the stuff that comes along with it," adding, "He feels like ups and downs are part of life and everyone has these moments."

Affleck and the Bronx diva first dated in the early 2000s and became engaged in November 2002. However, they called off their engagement in September 2003 due to excessive media attention before ultimately ending their relationship in 2004.
