Jennifer Lopez and Jennifer Garner 'relieved to be done' with Ben Affleck, claims source

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A cozy moment shared by Ben Affleck and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, during a paintball game prompted questions about whether the former flames might reignite old passions, as per reports.

Yet, insiders confirm that both Garner as well as Jennifer Lopez, who ended things with the actor in August 2024 just two years after their marriage, are firmly rejecting any notion of reconciliation with the Hollywood heartthrob.

As per Page Six, speaking to The Post last week, an insider shared, "I’d say they’re both relieved to be done with him. Ben’s an emotional roller coaster. He’s even been reaching out to Jennifer [Lopez] again recently."

"The two Jennifers are actually friends. They bonded over co-parenting their kids. I don’t know why the press feels they have to pit women against each other," they added.

When it comes to the possibility of mending old ties, neither Garner nor Lopez is interested in rekindling a romance with Affleck, even though Garner was recently spotted in the embrace of Affleck during a paintball outing. 

The same source emphatically noted, "Who wants the guy? You think he’s the prize? No way. It’s like, 'Next!'"

The insider further explained that while Lopez was reportedly heartbroken following their split last year, and even filed for divorce on their wedding anniversary, with the process finally concluding in February 2025, she has since rediscovered her strength and moved on.

"Of course, it’s sad when someone reveals to you who they really are. She may have been devastated last year but she’s risen above it. She puts her kids, and then his kids, first. She’s not just some woman scorned or betrayed. Like I said, he’s put out feelers to her recently," the mole added.

While some chatter suggests that Jennifer Garner is perfectly content with her boyfriend, John Miller, and that her relationship with Ben Affleck remains strictly platonic, other sources hint at a more complicated picture.

However, reports suggest that one thing is clear, neither Lopez nor Garner is looking to revisit past chapters with the 'AIR' actor.

A source who used to work for the 'On The Floor' singer and remains in close contact with her inner circle told The Post, "She’s actually devastated. She’s keeping it together publicly but she’s told everyone around her not to trash Ben. She doesn’t want to get down in the dirt with him."

In contrast, another insider familiar with all the involved parties dismissed reports of Lopez still moping over their divorce.

The source revealed that the 'Jenny from the Block' star is currently "having a blast" while busy shooting her upcoming film, 'Office Romance', set to be released on Netflix.
