Recently an insider revealed that the 55-year-old ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer has none other than Kim Kardashian to thank for her post-split daring red carpet fashion.

After months of speculations, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from her ex Ben Affleck on what was supposed to be their second anniversary in August 2024. Soon after, she took the red-carpet fashion by storm through her glamorous looks.
As per the sources, Lopez received little help from Kim Kardashian as the SKIMS founder allegedly played a notable role in shaping Lopez’s sartorial choices.
Speaking to Heat, as reported by She Knows, an insider revealed, “The split with Ben was a huge blow to Jen’s confidence. She felt so rejected and really needed a pick-me-up, and Kim has been a huge support.”
Ever since her split, Lopez has been showing off statement looks in her red carpet fashion, starting from her daring Tamara Ralph gown for ‘Unstoppable’ premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival. Her blingy dress featured top to bottom side slits on both sides held together with carefully placed black velvet bows.
In November, the ‘Hustlers’ star attended the ‘Wicked’ premiere in another stunning creation - a dress from designer Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2024 couture collection - that accentuated her post-split glow.
Lopez has never shied away from making it a point to show Ben Affleck what he was missing, and sources say ‘The Kardashians’ star is partly instrumental for them.
Speaking about the mother-of-four, the insider dished, “She’s always looked up to JLo, so she was more than happy to help give her a bit of a makeover.”
“It’s not that Jen needed much help, but they’ve been having fun picking out outfits and experimenting with looks that are a little more edgy and eye-catching,” added the source while praising the ‘Shotgun Wedding’ star’s remarkable fashion choices.
Speaking about the duo’s friendship, the source said, “Jen thinks Kim has great style.”
“As far as she’s concerned, all the haters that slate her for being trashy are just jealous of a woman who’s confidently owning her age and sexuality,” added the source while praising Kardashian.
“Jennifer is inspired by the way Kim has built her brand, and there’s even some overlap with the style teams behind the scenes – people who understand both stars’ visions and can help bring them to life,” spilled the source.
Kim Kardashian used to idolize Jennifer Lopez
Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez’s friendship dates back decades as the SKIMS founder once revealed she has long idolized the pop star. Not only have they participated in shared holidays, and karaoke nights, but they have also been spotted together on several occasions including MET Gala and NFL matches.
In 2018, Kardashian revealed to People, “My inspiration for everything has been Jennifer Lopez,” before adding, “I would try and see what shoes she’d wear, what makeup, what hair — I became obsessed with glam because of Jennifer.”
In a separate interview with USA Today, Lopez gushed about the businesswoman, "Oh, I've met Kim many times. She tells me all the time that I'm her idol and stories about when she used to follow me when my first album was out, and stuff like that. It's really sweet.”
Lopez added, “She's a sweet girl, and it's very flattering to meet any of your fans! She's always been very open about that and it's very flattering to me. She's a sweetheart."
