Jennifer Lopez reportedly jealous over husband Ben Affleck’s alleged crush for newly-single Sofia Vergara
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jennifer Lopez is quite jealous of her husband’s growing infatuation with now-single Sofia Vergara. Ben Affleck has always liked the 'Modern Family' alum, and Lopez doesn’t want her anywhere near her partner, Radar Online reports.
Joe Manganiello and Vergara ended their seven-year marriage in September 2023, and the latter has remained away from the dating scene. The 51-year-old often shares vacation photographs with pals but didn’t rush to any relationship.
It is reported that Lopez is now tired of her husband allegedly spending time with his pal. "Jennifer is close to Sofia — but that doesn't mean she wants her husband getting all googly-eyed for her," a source told the National Enquirer.
Ben Affleck considers Sofia Vergara an 'ideal woman'
Another insider close to Affleck claimed that the actor admires Vergara secretly and thinks of her as an "ideal woman." Lopez is also not letting ‘The Batman’ hero invite Vergara over even after repeated attempts, as per reports. "Jennifer is putting her foot down and saying no way," the insider chimed.
There is no strong evidence to prove the claims that Affleck is getting more serious about Vergara, but Lopez's insecurities have risen. The ‘On the Floor’ singer recently said in an interview that she'd step up to any competition and warned, "Do not play with me!"
"I'm a lover, not a fighter, but I will let them know in a very elegant and ladylike way to step ALL the way off!" Lopez's reference was about protecting her marriage. In her recent documentary, Lopez talked about her past relationships and insecurities.
"There were people in my life who said ‘I love you’ and then didn’t do things that were kind of in line with the word ‘love,'" Lopez shared. "You have to hit rock bottom where you’re in situations so uncomfortable and so painful that you finally go, ‘I don’t want this anymore,'" she added.
