Jennifer Lopez sends thoughtful gift to Nikki Glaser for defending her against critics amid divorce
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Jennifer Lopez made a sweet gesture towards comedian Nikki Glaser after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck.
In June, Glaser stepped up to defend Lopez from online criticism about her high-profile separation from Ben Affleck, and the singer definitely appreciated it.
In a TikTok video shared on July 18, Glaser unveiled a thoughtful package she received from Jennifer Lopez.
Nikki Glaser receives JLo Beauty Skincare gifts and a heartfelt personal note
The thoughtful gesture came in the form of a JLo Beauty Skincare package, which Nikki Glaser unwrapped on her TikTok.
"Maybe someone knows that I love her and sent this to me," she joked in the video, adding, "And someone does. And it's JLo."
But it wasn’t just the beauty products that touched Glaser—it was the heartfelt note that accompanied them.
In the note that came with the beauty products, Lopez wrote, "I heard your interview. I know it's easy to go along with the crowd and I appreciate you speaking your truth. I respect your strength and humor. Here's a little something for your feet."
Glaser humorously responded to the gesture, saying, "She knows I have bunions, too probably."
The note concluded with a simple yet heartfelt message, "Wishing you the best, always."
The comedian was visibly touched by the kindness, expressing that Lopez inspires her greatly. She said, "I will love you forever, and not just because of this, but this is just like a testament to how cool you are. I love you. You're awesome. Thank you so much."
Nikki Glaser reveals how watching Jennifer Lopez's documentary changed her views
Nikki Glaser's connection with Jennifer Lopez began a few months ago during a June 14 interview on the 'Zach Sang Show'.
In that candid conversation, she openly shared how her feelings about the superstar had evolved.
At first, she admitted that she wasn't always a fan of Lopez, saying, "I used to think Jennifer was 'phony' and that I was jealous of her."
However, everything changed after she watched the documentary about Lopez, 'The Greatest Love Story Never Told.'
Glaser revealed that the film "dismantled" her previous views about Lopez, leaving her feeling "so team JLo."
"I’m sad her tour is canceled. It was so funny, my boyfriend sent me the news that her tour is canceled 'cause he knew what a JLo head I’d become overnight—literally overnight," Glaser revealed.
After watching Lopez’s film, 'This Is Me…Now', twice, the comedian’s admiration grew so much that she even removed a joke about the singer from her latest comedy special, 'Someday You’ll Die', according to E! News.
She explained that the joke felt "mean for no reason" because her opinion of Lopez had softened.
Meanwhile, Lopez has been navigating her own personal challenges.
The 55-year-old singer was recently spotted out in public with Ben Affleck and their blended family, which includes her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, along with Affleck's children, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
The couple, who had been married for two years, filed for divorce last month, with Lopez stating that their date of separation was April 26.
