Jennifer Lopez’s ex-dancer claims he made career pivot after her team treated him like ‘lukewarm latte’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Cody Rigsby, the Peloton instructor and former backup dancer, recently opened up about his time dancing for Jennifer Lopez, sharing a candid account of the experience that led him to pivot away from the dance world, as reported by OK! Magazine.
In a recent interview, Rigsby described performing alongside the pop superstar as a dream come true but expressed disappointment in how her team treated him.
Cody Rigsby says he chose self-love over dancing for Jennifer Lopez
“Dancing for Jennifer Lopez? That was a dream come true!” the 37-year-old Cody Rigsby said.
“But baby, when the team starts treating you like yesterday’s lukewarm latte? Uh-uh. Ain’t nobody got time for that.”
He emphasized that the lack of respect he felt from Lopez's team prompted a moment of self-reflection. “I looked at myself in the mirror, did a diva twirl, and said, ‘Sorry, Jennifer Lopez, I’m choosing me!’ I had my Beyonce moment. Self-love, people!”
Rigsby's experience isn't the first time Lopez's team has been criticized for their treatment of others. As previously reported by OK!, an anonymous woman who claimed to have worked at a private airport on Long Island accused the singer of being a “nightmare person".
She recounted a series of demands made by Lopez's team during her 20-minute flight, which included a request for a KFC bucket, causing the woman to rush to the restaurant before it opened.
Another incident involved a late fruit platter delivery, leading a line technician to scramble for last-minute groceries while dealing with various airport responsibilities.
The user expressed frustration at the extreme demands, stating, “I get asking for a little privacy, but demanding no one make eye contact is bananas.”
Jennifer Lopez appreciates Ben Affleck while dealing with 'one of the hardest years' of her life
Jennifer Lopez is taking a positive approach as she navigates what has been described as one of the most challenging years of her life. Following her August divorce filing from Ben Affleck, the star is focusing on personal healing and growth.
Sources close to Lopez shared insights into her emotional journey. “This has been one of the hardest years for Jennifer,” a source told People. “She didn’t want to file for divorce, but felt she had no choice. It was necessary for her.”
Lopez marked April 26 as the date of their separation, which came after a summer largely spent apart. Despite the emotional turmoil, she expresses gratitude for the memories made during her two-year marriage to Affleck.
“She was very upset about it,” the insider added. “However, true to her optimistic nature, she’s moving forward. Instead of seeing this as a setback, she believes it was meant to happen. Right now, she’s prioritizing herself.”
Lopez, who recognizes her privileged lifestyle, is now committed to building a brighter future for herself and her children.
“She’s grateful for all the beautiful memories with Ben, but her focus is on her kids and what’s next.”
