“I remember, and I was brought back and I was so p***ed off,” he stated.

Renner further mentioned that though his chest essentially “collapsed in on itself”, he felt a “wonderful relief” to be “removed from [his] body.”

The 'Avengers' star continued, “It is the most exhilarating peace you could ever feel. You don’t see anything but what’s in your mind’s eye…”

“It’s the highest adrenaline rush. But the peace that comes with it, it’s magnificent, it’s so magical,” he asserted.

Jeremy Renner says ‘the afterlife is not linear’

During the podcast when Ripa asked Renner if he had the chance to “speak to anyone” while being away for a few minutes, he replied, “Time is a human construct. It’s useless.”

“[The afterlife] is not linear. It’s not how it exists. It’s just like the most remedial version of your spirit’s existence is being on Earth,” he added.

However, the ‘Wind River’ actor admitted that the deadly accident made him “really be able to be back here and live on my own terms as the captain of my own ship.”

“I can’t stomach the things I gave credence to prior to the accident. I invest into love and my shared relationships that I experience love with. Cause that is the only thing that you take with you,” Renner mentioned.

Jeremy Renner ‘could see everything all at once’ when he ‘died’

Renner's memoir, ‘My Next Breath’, also provides insight into his accident.

In his book, he said, “After about 30 minutes on the ice, breathing manually for so long, an effort akin to doing 10 or 20 push-ups per minute for half an hour … that’s when I died. I could see my lifetime. I could see everything all at once. In death, there was no time, no time at all, yet it was also all time and forever,” as per The Hollywood Reporter.

The Oscar-nominated actor also stated that he “didn’t f**king die. So the celebration of New Year becomes a recognition of the depth of the love in our family.”
