Jessica Simpson is relying on Kim Kardashian to 'guide her' amid marital woes with Eric Johnson
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jessica Simpson is leaning on her friend Kim Kardashian as the reality TV star has stepped up to be a pillar of support for the songstress in her ongoing rumored marital woes with husband Eric Johnson.
According to a source, 44-year-old Simpson is seeking “divorce tip” from Kim Kardashian who has herself navigated the troubled waters of the same thrice in her life.
While the ‘Irresistible’ singer has not yet finalized her decision regarding dropping the curtain to her marriage, the insiders revealed she has been discussing with her industry friends regarding the impact.
The source further noted that Simpson is worried if she decides to quit her marriage, then it would be difficult as children are concerned.

Speaking to Life & Style, the source shared, “Jessica hasn’t made any decisions.” She’s still researching her options and talking to her friends, especially the ones with kids that have been through a divorce.
“It’s really not something she wants to do,” highlighted the source while adding, “Her divorce from Nick [Lachey] was beyond tough, and there were no kids involved, so she knows this will be 10 times worse.”
Nevertheless, the ‘I Belong to Me’ singer has a supportive group of friends - including the SKIMS founder - to whom she is going for advice.
“Jessica has a lot of great women in her life that have circled around to be there and guide her, but Kim is very much front and center,” noted the source before adding, “She’s really stepped up to be there as someone to talk things through with.”
The mother-of-four has reportedly been “brutally honest about how painful it was for her to separate her family, but at the end of the day she does feel divorce was the right option so she’s giving Jessica hope that if she does go down that path there can be a light at the end of the tunnel.”
Previously, Kardashian, who shares her four children with Kanye West, finalized her divorce from her rapper husband in 2022 after eight years of marriage.
However, the source clarified that Kardashian is not dictating to Simpson anything to do, but rather is present there to lend an ear to her woes.
“She’s not telling her what to do either way,” noted the source before adding, “but she has been a sounding board for her and a shoulder to cry on.”

The ‘I Wanna Love You Forever’ hitmaker tied the knot with Eric Johnson in 2014 and the couple share their three children together - daughters Maxwell Drew and Birdie and son Ace.
The rumors of their marital discord started swirling when Simpson relocated to Nashville to work on a new album while her former NFL star husband stayed back in Los Angeles.
In October, a source shared with the same outlet that Simpson had “been reevaluating her happiness, her marriage and her business empire” and was “ready to start fresh.”
“It’s pretty much over between her and Eric;” added the source before elaborating, “it’s only a matter of time before she files for divorce.”
They added, “He’s always been supportive and an amazing father. They tried couples counseling, which worked for a while, but then things went back to the way they were. They don’t spend nearly as much time together as they used to, and they’ve just grown apart.”
