LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle's Netflix series, 'With Love, Meghan,' continues to draw attention weeks after its release.

During an episode of 'The Tonight Show' on Monday, March 17, Jimmy Fallon poked fun at a now-viral scene from the series, where Markle repackages store-bought pretzels into personalized bags.

Steve Higgins asks Jimmy Fallon 'why does Meghan Markle make her own pretzel bags?'

In the trivia segment of 'The Tonight Show,' Jimmy Fallon’s sidekick Steve Higgins posed a question, “What is the number one question that mystifies scientists?”

After some thought, Fallon guessed, “Is there life on another planet?”

Steve Higgins humorously corrected him, saying, “Oh, no. Why does Meghan Markle make her own pretzel bags?”

He added that scientists “don’t know why” the Duchess of Sussex transfers the crackers, drawing laughter from Fallon and the audience.

“That’s interesting,” Fallon responded, adding “She takes it from one bag and puts it in another bag, and that confuses people.”

Meghan Markle's pretzel repackaging moment goes viral

The moment Steve Higgins referenced comes from a scene in Meghan Markle’s lifestyle series, which premiered on March 4.

In the episode, Markle is seen preparing a welcome basket for her longtime friend and makeup artist, Daniel Martin, who was visiting her home.

"This, we’re just going to put in a different bag,” she said while holding a container of store-bought pretzels, as per New York Post

She continued, “I know that Daniel loves peanut butter but I’m going to label this anyway, you always want to be conscious if someone has a nut allergy.”

The scene quickly went viral on social media, with many mocking Markle’s approach.

“I’m so glad Meghan Markle has a new show on Netflix where I can watch her take pretzels out of a labeled bag and put them into a new bag…then label it. The people’s Martha Stewart!” one person wrote on X.

Another user quipped, “‘I have seen hostage videos with more entertainment,’ I announced to my husband after Markle poured store-bought pretzels into a canister and tied a bow around it.”

Meghan Markle launches new podcast despite ongoing criticism

Despite the continued criticism of her show, Meghan Markle recently announced her new podcast, 'Confessions of a Female Founder,' just one week after the Netflix series premiered.

The 43-year-old will engage with female entrepreneurs about building their brands ahead of launching her own business, 'As ever.'

However, 'With Love, Meghan' director Michael Steed has defended the program and its cooking sequences, saying he was impressed by the duchesses’ culinary skills.

"Her cooking is pretty spot-on,” he said during an interview with People earlier this month. “She’s not a chef, and it’s definitely not meant to make it seem like she is, but there’s just a love of cooking that is palpable,” he added.
