LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In the aftermath of President Joe Biden's recent annual physical examination results, which affirmed his fitness for the presidency, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel injected humor into the conversation by expressing his preference for any leader over Donald Trump.

During the February 28th episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!,' the 56-year-old comedian quipped, "People act like the results of Biden’s physical are somehow gonna influence who we vote for, I don’t care if he comes out that doctor’s office in an iron lung."

Kimmel suggests 'Weekend At Bernie's White House fantasy to dodge Trump's return

Kimmel took his jest a step further, entertaining the notion of a 'Weekend At Bernie's' scenario in the White House if it meant avoiding a Trump presidency. The reference to the iconic film involves two individuals trying to conceal their deceased boss's demise by pretending he is alive.

“I would be fully OK with a Weekend At Bernie’s type White House situation if it means no Trump,” he added,

Trump, 77, responded to Biden's health assessment by criticizing the absence of a cognitive test. Despite White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stating that the President "doesn't need" such a test and excelling in one daily, Trump insisted on the necessity for leaders, including Biden, to undergo mandatory cognitive testing.

This call came in the wake of Trump's recent confusion over his wife's name, generating headlines and prompting him to defend himself on his Truth Social platform.

Trump's Twitter demand for cognitive tests fuels controversy

According to OK Magazine, In a tweet, Trump insisted, "Crooked Joe Biden must take a Cognitive Test. Maybe that way we would be able to find out why he makes such terrible decisions. I took two of them and ACED them both (no mistakes!). All Presidents, or people wanting to become President, should mandatorily take this test!"

The former president's remarks followed a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where he inadvertently confused his wife Melania's name, contributing to speculation about his cognitive abilities.

Trump later clarified that the mix-up occurred when he praised Melania's popularity during the event, and observers mistakenly thought he referred to another individual as the first lady.

"He went on a very poorly rated show last night, and he talked about Donald Trump and [how] I don't know the name of my wife. He was referring to the fact that at CPAC, where I had a sold-out speech, the biggest audience they've had in years, I think maybe ever, I made the statement that Melania was very popular because when I mentioned her name, the audience went wild," Trump said in his clarification.

He also added, "I then looked at the two people — man and wife Matt and Mercedes Schlapp and I said, 'Wow, they really like the first lady!' So, this got taken as I thought Mercedes was the first lady. It has nothing to do with that."
