MANHATTAN, NE WYORK CITY: During a January 23 segment of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', host Jimmy Kimmel put forth an intriguing theory regarding Nikki Haley's decision to remain in the Republican primary despite her loss to Donald Trump in New Hampshire.

Kimmel suggested that Haley might be strategically staying in the race until the upcoming primary in South Carolina, her home state, indicating a potential tactical move to maintain a presence in the political landscape.

Jimmy Kimmel elaborated on his theory, proposing, "She might just be hanging around in case Trump goes to prison". 

Kimmel suggested that Republicans might require an alternative candidate if Trump is convicted, implying that Haley's continued presence in the race could be a strategic move to position herself as a viable option in such a scenario.

Donald Trump, who is confronting a total of 91 criminal charges, maintained a significant lead over his Republican opponent, leading by as much as 20 percentage points, according to polling data.

On January 15, Trump secured a substantial victory in Iowa with a lead of almost 30 points.

Current polling indicates that he continues to maintain a significant advantage over Haley in South Carolina, the next significant early state, where she served as governor before being appointed as the United Nations ambassador during Trump's presidency.

Despite facing daunting odds and a significant loss in New Hampshire, Nikki Haley remains defiant and committed to her presidential candidacy.

Emphasizing the importance of New Hampshire as the first state in the nation but not the last, Haley asserted, "New Hampshire is first in the nation, it is not the last in the nation. This race is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go".

Trump celebrated his victory and criticized Haley for her decision not to withdraw from the race, branding her as "delusional."



 

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump conveyed, "Haley said she had to WIN in New Hampshire. SHE DIDN'T!!!" Shortly after, he reiterated his disapproval, emphatically posting, "DELUSIONAL!!!



 

During an interview with Fox News, the former president expressed his deep appreciation for the outcome of the New Hampshire primary held on January 23. Additionally, he emphasized his belief that Haley should throw her support behind his campaign.
