Joe Alwyn 'desperate' to reconnect with Taylor Swift despite heartbreak and her romance with Travis Kelce
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joe Alwyn is heading to Los Angeles for his latest film, 'The Brutalist', and according to sources, he’s "desperately" looking to cross paths with his ex, Taylor Swift but it’s not about rekindling romance he just wants to clear the air.
The British actor, 33, and the pop superstar, 34, ended their six-year relationship in early 2023. While Swift has moved on with NFL star Travis Kelce, insiders claim Alwyn still wants to have one final conversation, as reported by Radar Online.

Joe Alwyn wants to reconnect with Taylor Swift
"Initially, the breakup was tough for both of them, filled with hurt feelings," a source close to the actor shared. "However, things have settled down, at least for Joe. They shared six years together, and those memories will always be a part of him. He hopes they can both reflect on their time together positively. For him, the best way to achieve that is by reconnecting and having a heartfelt conversation," they added.
The source claims, "This doesn't imply a romantic revival. Joe genuinely cares for Taylor and wishes nothing but the best for her. He hopes she feels similarly about him."
"Though they haven’t crossed paths since their breakup, it's likely they will encounter each other again, given the small nature of their industry. Joe would prefer their first meeting to happen on their own terms. That's why he's considering reaching out. He wants to ensure they're on good footing and is even open to meeting Travis as well," the insider said.
Joe Alwyn’s Hollywood career takes off
Alwyn’s schedule is packed. Joe will be heading to Hollywood to promote his latest film, 'The Brutalist', where he shares the screen with Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones.
While 'The Brutalist' is already making waves after winning Best Picture at the Golden Globes, Alwyn has two more major projects lined up, 'Hamnet', starring Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley, and 'Hamlet', where he plays Laertes opposite Riz Ahmed. But even with his career on the upswing, Swift is never far from the conversation.
The Eras Tour singer has famously woven their relationship into her music, from love songs like 'Gorgeous' and 'London Boy' to break-up tracks like 'So Long, London'. And then there’s 'The Tortured Poets Department', an album title rumored to be a jab at Alwyn’s old WhatsApp group, The Tortured Man Club.
Despite the speculation, Alwyn has remained tight-lipped. When asked if he wanted to move past his history with Swift, he told a UK newspaper, “That’s something for other people to talk about. It’s in the past for me.”
Taylor Swift stole the spotlight at the 67th Grammy Awards on February 2, 2025, Sunday, turning heads in a fiery red mini dress that had fans losing their minds. The 'Love Story' singer delivered yet another iconic look but what really set Swifties into overdrive was a delicate chain with the letter "T" draped over her thigh.
The internet quickly lit up with theories—was it a stylish tribute to herself, or a subtle nod to her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce?
Swift and Kelce’s romance took off in the summer of 2023 when Swift showed up at several of Kelce’s games. Kelce later shared on 'The Pat McAfee Show' that he made the first move, inviting Swift to a game after attending her Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium in July 2023. He joked that he had “thrown the ball in her court.”
By October 2023, the two made their relationship public, stepping out hand in hand at a 'Saturday Night Live' after party.
