Reports detailed a shattered window in a bedroom that was ransacked by the intruders.

During the break-in, a woman staying at Burrow’s home contacted 911 for help.

In a released recording, a scared female caller, who identified herself as the mother of someone at the house, said, "Someone is trying to break into the house right now."

"My daughter is there. This is Joe Burrow's house. She is staying there. He’s at the football game,” she explained.

Her daughter, also in the home, later called 911, saying, “Someone broke into my house. It’s like completely messed up.”

An off-duty officer on security detail at Burrow’s home confirmed the broken windows to dispatchers, though the identity of the woman staying at the residence remains unclear.

Burrow has been dating Olivia Holzmacher, whom he met during his time at Ohio State.

NFL athletes targeted in rising crime trend

The burglary at Joe Burrow's home follows a troubling pattern of NFL players being targeted by organized and skilled groups.

The NFL recently issued a security alert warning teams and the NFL Players Association after similar incidents, including burglaries at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

The team would next face the Tennessee Titans on the road.
