AUSTIN, TEXAS: Podcast heavyweight Joe Rogan blasted Democrats for their immigration policies, arguing they encourage crime and political manipulation.

During a recent episode of 'The Joe Rogan Experience', the outspoken host spoke with his latest guest, Cheryl Hines, the wife of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy, when he delivered a pointed critique of Democratic immigration policies and how they strain major US cities.

Joe Rogan blasts Democrats over open-border immigration policy

Rogan made it clear he believes the United States can honor its immigrant heritage without turning the border into a free-for-all.

“The whole thing is tough now because we’re a country that’s established by immigrants, but you can’t have an open border. You can’t just have anybody come through because there’s going to be a bunch of criminals that come through, and you don’t want that. You don’t want your country to be more crime-infested,” Rogan said.

“You don’t want your country to have murderers and cartel members just coming into the country and now getting citizenship and being able to vote and organizing, and that’s crazy. That’s a good way to destroy your country.”

Rogan also accused Democrats of leveraging immigration as a political advantage, suggesting the surge of undocumented migrants puts pressure on infrastructure while potentially reshaping electoral maps.

“When you just let everybody in, and you let in 10 million people, and how do you, unless they get arrested while they’re here, what do you do? And even then, like a lot of them during the Biden administration, they were getting let go. In sanctuary cities, they were letting people go. It’s just crazy,” Rogan said.

“Because they just want a bunch of people in these swing states for the census. So they get more congressional seats, and if they get these people and give them the ability to vote, now you have a built-in voter base. You can just rig the election.”

The immigration debate has only grown louder in recent years. Under former President Joe Biden’s CHNV migrant parole program, more than 530,000 foreign nationals were granted legal entry into the US, complete with work authorization.

The program allowed individuals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter through a parole process that bypassed traditional immigration pathways. However, this added pressure to an already stretched system.

Joe Rogan questions Trump immigration crackdown tactics

Immigration policy took a sharp turn when Trump returned to the White House last year and ramped up enforcement efforts. The administration’s aggressive push reportedly prompted more than two million undocumented migrants to leave the country.

Trump also rolled out broad executive actions to tighten border security, which ultimately drove southern border encounters down to record lows.

But Rogan was not willing to give Trump’s methods a free pass. Just last month, he compared Immigration and Customs Enforcement tactics to “the Gestapo."

During an episode featuring Sen Rand Paul (R-Ky), Rogan acknowledged the complexities surrounding immigration enforcement. He said many Americans agree that criminals should be arrested but remain uneasy about ICE’s operations.

“I can also see the point of view of the people that say, ‘Yeah, but you don’t want militarized people in the streets just roaming around snatching people up, many of which turn out to actually be US citizens that just don’t have their papers on them,’” Rogan said. “Are we really going to be the Gestapo? ‘Where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?”

Rogan also criticized the fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good by an ICE officer in Minneapolis, describing the footage as disturbing.

The podcaster and UFC host said it was “very ugly to watch someone shoot a US citizen, especially a woman, in the face.” “It just looked horrific to me,” he said. “I mean, when people are saying it’s justifiable because the car hit him, it seemed like she was kind of turning the car away.”
