AUSTIN, TEXAS: Podcaster Joe Rogan roasted Minnesota Governor Tim Walz after the latter bizarrely claimed that his "masculinity" is what terrifies MAGA supporters.

Walz made these comments while chatting with California Gov Gavin Newsom on his podcast 'This is Gavin Newsom'. During the episode on March 18, Tuesday, Walz tried to explain why he faced so much Republican criticism during his campaign.

"I think I scare them a little bit, [which is] why they spend so much time on me," Walz declared.

Newsom, likely caught off guard, responded with laughter. But Walz doubled down. "No, I'm serious, because I can fix a truck, they know I'm not bulls***ing on this," he insisted.

Podcaster Joe Rogan wasn’t buying a single word of it. He torched Tim Walz's claim on 'The Joe Rogan Experience'.

"They're scared of him because he could fix a truck?" Rogan asked, sounding genuinely bewildered. He then went all in on mocking the idea that Republicans see Walz as some kind of hyper-masculine threat.

Rogan added, "I know how to fix a truck. Do you? I bet you don't! I bet if I bring a broken truck to you, and a bag of tools, you're f**ed!"*

Podcaster Chris Williamson, who was a guest on the episode, couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of the claim. He pointed out how Democrats seem to be desperately trying to find someone to embody masculinity for them.

"Yeah, it's so crazy," Rogan agreed. "I think they're lost. I mean, they're also lost in that they can't control the narrative anymore."

Rogan then pivoted to a broader issue, calling out the Democratic Party’s struggle to connect with young men. According to him, anything even remotely masculine has been demonized as "right-wing".

"Anything masculine is right-wing, anything—you cannot be masculine," he argued. "Like, you cannot be interested in physical fitness, anything—" Williamson added, "It's a pipeline to being right-wing."

Rogan agreed, "Yes! You can't like fast cars. You're not even allowed to like Teslas anymore, which are the fastest cars. You're a misogynist, you're probably racist, maybe a Nazi."

Caitlyn Jenner takes a dig at Tim Walz

Caitlyn Jenner also decided to join the fun. The former Olympian—who famously came out as transgender in 2015—wasn’t buying Tim Walz’s claim either.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Jenner threw some serious shade at the Minnesota governor as she wrote, "I am more 'masculine' than this [clown emoji] Gov Walz."

During his conversation with Newsom, Walz admitted that Donald Trump's campaign successfully convinced voters that Democrats were weak. "I saw it from me, and not that I spend too much time thinking about this and it just baffled me how much time they spent trying to attack me that I was not masculine enough in their vision," Walz reflected.

He then reminisced about how Republicans supposedly fixated on his masculinity (or lack thereof) during the 2024 election. According to Walz, they mocked everything—from the way he waved to how he sipped through a straw. They even made fun of his attempts to show off his hunting and mechanic skills.

"They focused on it obsessively, which I think again is their obsession, their weirdness, we buy their frame on these issues of sexuality," Walz claimed, also lamenting that people online called him "gay" and "not masculine".

But then Walz confidently declared, "I think I could kick most of their a*s."

Naturally, social media had a field day over his comments.

Tim Walz brutally roasted for his comments

The floodgates of mockery opened wide as soon as Tim Walz’s comments hit social media. Many on X wasted no time dunking on the governor, dragging him for his tough-guy persona.

"This guy is delusional. Wtf?" one posted on X.

"Tampon Tim is dumb," another quipped.

"Playing tough guy after abandoning his men on the eve of their Iraq deployment. Classic Tim Walz," read a comment.

"This snowflake has to be the phony tough guy of the century," someone else offered.

"He's a 60-year-old fairy who has aged like milk in the sun," another joked.

Despite all the bravado, Walz did acknowledge one thing—he lost, and he still can’t quite wrap his head around why.

"I'm probably the last person you should ask for answers because I didn't get it done, but I do believe that we are making inroads," he admitted.
