AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan slammed Donald Trump's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) workplace raids on the Tuesday, July 1, episode of his show ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.

The podcaster declared, “It’s insane. The targeting of migrant workers — not cartel members, not gang members, not drug dealers.”

Joe Rogan blasts Donald Trump's administration for targeting 'construction workers' and 'gardeners'

“Just construction workers. Showing up at construction sites, raiding them. Gardeners. Like, really?” Joe Rogan said, before adding, “I don’t think anybody would have signed up for that.”

The UFC color commentator had earlier called out the president’s crackdown on undocumented immigrants in March.

“You got to get scared that people who are not criminals are getting lassoed up and deported and sent to El Salvador prisons. It’s horrific,” he claimed.

The Trump cheerleader had also asserted, “The cause is: Let’s get the gang members out. Everybody agrees. But let’s not get innocent gay hairdressers lumped up with the gangs?”

Referring to Venezuelan asylum-seeker, Franco Jose Caraballo, was sent to Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), a megaprison in El Salvador, despite having no criminal record, Rogan asked, “How long before that guy can get out? Can we figure out how to get them out?”

“Is there any plan in place to alert the authorities that they’ve made a horrible mistake and correct it?” he asked.

Joe Rogan called out US’ strike on Iran

However, that was not it, Joe Rogan even blasted the POTUS’ decision to attack Iran.

Speaking with Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in June, he said, “I think the whole MAGA thing right now is very divided, particularly because one of the things they voted for was no war.”

“Well now it seems like we’re in a war. And it’s quick. We’re six months in and that’s already popped off,” he added.

White House and DHS defends ICE raids

Amid this, Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for the Department for Homeland Security, has reportedly justified the ICE raids.

As per McLaughlin, “An overwhelming majority of ICE arrests were criminal illegal aliens with criminal convictions or pending criminal charges.”

“Further, many illegal aliens categorized as ‘non-criminals’ are actually terrorists, human rights abusers, gang members and worse—they just don’t have a rap sheet in the US. This deceptive ‘non-criminal’ categorization is devoid of reality and misleads the American public,” she added.

Besides, a White House representative claimed, “Trump campaigned on executing the largest mass deportation operation in history and he is fulfilling the promise by getting criminal illegals out of the country.”
