Texas Longhorns star Jordan Shipley’s career highlight
Jordan Shipley was one of the most successful wide receivers in University of Texas history, playing for the Longhorns from 2006 to 2009. In the 2010 NFL Draft, he was picked by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round.
During his years at Texas, Shipley became one of the school’s top receivers and set records for career catches. He was a favorite target of quarterback Colt McCoy and helped the Longhorns reach the 2009 BCS National Championship game.
Shipley later spent three seasons in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals before injuries ended his career.
Football is a family tradition for the Shipleys, as his younger brother Jaxon Shipley also played wide receiver for Texas from 2010 to 2013. Away from the field, Jordan is married to musician Sunny Shipley, and they have children together.
