During a ‘The View’ segment, Joy Behar, 82, brought up Meghan Markle as part of a discussion on women supporting each other.

Behar kicked off the conversation by sharing Gwyneth Paltrow’s response to a comment suggesting Markle was “moving in on her territory” as a lifestyle guru with her new Netflix series, 'With Love, Meghan'.

Paltrow, 52, shared with Vanity Fair, "I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes, I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try."

She also recalled advice from her mother, actress Blythe Danner, 82, who told her, “Another woman is never your competition. … What is right for you will find you.”

Behar reflected that she’s noticed women “sticking together more than we used to”.

Co-host Ana Navarro quickly jumped in, asking, "What men get asked that? Someone’s always trying to pick catfights amongst women."

Sara Haines added, "There are two types of women I’ve run into. The ones that will shank you, and the ones that will lift you."

Navarro then remarked, "You know what’s amazing, though? What an influence on culture Meghan Markle has. I feel like she gets discussed all the time. Some people like her, some people hate her, some people don’t care.”

Behar pointed out that there’s “something about her that triggers people,” suggesting that jealousy might be at the root of it, saying, “We all wanted to marry a prince. So everyone is jealous of her, is that it? Ana’s not, right?” The camera then cut to Navarro shaking her head.
