Joy Behar slammed for bringing up 'fake orgasms' while discussing 'ethical non-monogamy' on 'The View'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Joy Behar reportedly had a very frank discussion with her colleagues on ‘The View’ about “fake orgasms.”
The 81-year-old comedian and her co-hosts also talked about how these days people are “engaging in so-called ethical non-monogamy”, Page Six reported.
The segment began with Behar’s co-host Whoopi Goldberg referring to a story in New York Magazine about “so-called ethical non-monogamy.”

Joy Behar and her co-hosts dig deeper while discussing ‘ethical non-monogamy’
Behar began, “They’re talking about not just one person extra in the bed, they’re talking about a few,” before mentioning Americans are “too puritanical.”
She then mentioned the controversy during the 2004 Super Bowl halftime show, often called “Nipplegate,” involving Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake as she asked, “How many orgasms can one girl fake?” while her co-hosts burst with laughter.
Soon Sara Haines jumped into the discussion and reportedly said, “I know this applies to women and men but when you read that ethical non-monogamy weren’t you sitting there going, a man definitely decided this.”
While mimicking, Haines added, “I’m not going to be monogamous but it’s a good thing and we are fine. It’s ethical.”

Joy Behar says there’s ‘more to marriage than sex’
Sunny Hostin also could not stop herself from sharing her point of view as she stated, “I’m more cavewoman in my relationships, like, you are mine!"
“But what I don’t understand is some of these people are married, have children, and have jobs, [so] how do you have the time to do that with, let alone one man, several men or women?”
However, when Alyssa Farah Griffin questioned the “so-called ethical non-monogamy,” Behar replied that there is “more to marriage than sex.”
The TV host remarked, “In fact, where is the sex these days? It’s mostly about cleaning the house, visiting in-laws, and balancing the budget.”

Internet reacts
Meanwhile, people have a lot to say about ‘The View’ the conversation with a Facebook user commenting, “Yuck!”
A person on X tweeted, “How many orgasms have her poor husband faked?”
“Seriously, instead of speculating and joking about it and being cynical about what you think people are capable of, why does The View not have actual polyamorous people who can speak about it and their communities? Jeez,” a YouTube comment read.
Another comment was “I’m not the least bit surprised by the way the ladies of the panel responded. They have made judgmental comments about non-monogamy in the past and it’s clear that they have never met someone who is a successful, loving, and caring non-monogamous relationship. I don’t throw this phrase around lightly, but they should be ashamed of themselves.”
