WASHINGTON, DC: In a striking new YouTube video, Julia Roberts has urged the wives of Donald Trump supporters to secretly cast their votes for Kamala Harris in the upcoming US presidential election.

The 57-year-old Oscar-winning actress is not just a Hollywood star, she’s also a passionate advocate for political change, and is now lending her voice to the campaign efforts of Harris and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz.

In the video, produced by the progressive evangelical group Vote Common Good, Julia Roberts narrates a scenario featuring a couple adorned in stars and stripes caps, clearly identifying as supporters of Donald Trump, as they head into a voting center.

The husband encourages his wife, saying, "Your turn, honey," as she steps into the booth. Roberts emphasizes the power of privacy in voting, stating, “In the one place in America where women still have a right to choose, you can vote any way you want and no one will ever know.”

This sentiment resonates with the female voter as she locks eyes with another woman across the room, casting her vote for Harris-Walz with a smile.

As they exit, the husband asks, "Did you make the right choice?" to which she confidently replies, "Sure did, honey," exchanging a knowing look with her friend. Roberts reinforces the message with her tagline: "Remember, what happens in the booth, stays in the booth."

Vote Common Good aims to redirect Catholic voters from traditional Republican ties

Vote Common Good is actively seeking to guide Evangelical and Catholic voters away from their traditional Republican affiliations.

Their mission highlights a growing discontent among these voters, who have been conditioned to believe that their faith mandates support for Republican candidates, regardless of their character or policies.

The group points to recent political events, such as the January 6 insurrection and the spread of falsehoods surrounding the 2020 election, as pivotal moments that have led many to reevaluate their political loyalties.

Julia Roberts stands firm on reproductive rights while rallying support for Kamala Harris

Earlier this month, Julia Roberts made headlines recently while advocating for women's reproductive rights at a Harris-Walz rally in Georgia, a state recently criticized for reinstating a strict abortion ban after six weeks of pregnancy.

Joined by Democratic Party leader Stacey Abrams, Roberts shared her commitment to inspiring brave individuals to engage in difficult conversations about political differences.

“Clearly we all [in this room] feel the same way [politically],” she noted, urging attendees to talk to those who might not share their views, per Daily Mail.

Roberts, known for her outspoken liberal politics, has a history of supporting Democratic candidates, including Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

She remains a steadfast ally of Harris, appearing on a livestream for the Harris-Walz campaign last month and sharing that her twin children, 19-year-old Hazel and Phinnaeus, will also be voting blue in the upcoming election.
