NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Colorado legislator Richard Holtorf demeaned his Republican rival, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert, during an interview on Thursday, May 2, reported the Daily Mail.

According to the publication, the State House Minority Whip who is running against Boebert to replace retiring Rep Ken Buck in the 4th District, accused her of dressing like a prostitute.

The distasteful remarks for the US Representative from Colorado came a day after she was heckled by pro-Palestine protesters at George Washington University singing Darth Vader's theme from Star Wars and chanting 'Beetlejuice.'

Speaking with 710KNUS radio on Thursday morning, Holtorf said, "You know what I see about two blocks up from the State Capitol? I see women dressed like Boebert. High heels, short skirt, low cut blouse. And I won't tell you what they're doing but it's nothing you can talk to your grandmother about."

In addition to his lewd remarks, the state lawmaker who previously accused Boebert of being a deserter of the conservative fight, went after her family.

He claimed that the family drama would turn Colorado voters away from Boebert, saying, "She has a lot of problems with her family, and herself, and her family lives that with a lot of judicial troubles. And that does not reflect well, with respect to a son that just recently has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies."

Holtorf was referring to Boebert's son Tyler getting arrested and hit with 22 criminal charges, including five felonies, according to the Daily Mail.

Promoting himself against the Congresswoman, he told the publication, "Colorado citizens deserve representatives who lead by example, who listen to their constituents, and who work tirelessly to improve the lives of those Colorado citizens that they serve. Boebert should put them at the forefront of every decision that she makes. It is time for a change, as a Veteran Leader, I am committed to bringing solid integrity, fiscal accountability, and effective veteran leadership to the US Congress."

Internet reacts to Richard Holtorf's cheap dig

Netizens slammed Holtorf for his offensive remarks against Boebert, as the following comments on the Daily Mail website demonstrate.

"Wonder if this man knows he just lost the election," wrote a reader.

"Listen fella, you don't get bonus points by demeaning the looks of your female opponent. Not a good look for you, and I assume that kind of behavior is why so many women disapprove of Trump. I wish he would knock it off too," stated another.

"Not a Boebert fan but she can absolutely wear whatever she wants," commented a third.

"He's such a classy gentleman Not," jibed a fourth.
