Justin Bieber addresses rumors of being one of Diddy’s victims as rapper’s trial gets murkier

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Justin Bieber has broken his silence to deny rumors that he was a victim of Sean "Diddy" Combs' alleged abuse.
As Diddy's legal troubles deepen in New York court, Bieber’s representatives stepped forward on Thursday, May 15, to address speculations.
Justin Bieber’s team says he was never harmed by Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Justin Bieber's representatives told Page Six that Sean 'Diddy' Combs never harmed him and the pop star was not part of the ongoing allegations against him.
“Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him,” Bieber’s team told the outlet.

They added, “Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”
TMZ, which earlier reported that Bieber, who was just 15 when he met Diddy, was not among those alleging abuse, and sources confirmed to the outlet that “Combs never abused Justin in any way.”
Resurfaced videos reignited speculation about Justin Bieber’s ties to Sean 'Diddy' Combs
Justin Bieber’s early years in the spotlight were heavily influenced by Scooter Braun, who discovered him on YouTube and helped launch his career with the hit single 'Baby'.
Speculation about Bieber and Diddy resurfaced in 2024 after old video clips went viral, including one where Diddy recalled spending 48 hours with the young pop star.
“Where we hanging out and what we doing, we can’t really disclose, but it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream,” said Diddy in the video.
In one clip, Diddy said, “I don’t have legal guardianship of him [Bieber], but for the next 48 hours, he’s with me. We gonna go full buck, full crazy.”
Despite the footage, insiders told TMZ the interactions were merely "performative," adding that Bieber was closer to Diddy's sons than to the rapper himself.
Bieber was expected to speak out after Diddy’s arrest in September 2024, but sources said he chose to focus on his family.

“He’s aware of Diddy’s arrest and all the allegations,” an insider told People at the time. “It’s not anything that he wants to focus on, though.”
Cassie Ventura testifies in Sean 'Diddy' Combs' trial about years of abuse
Sean 'Diddy' Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, has taken the stand in his trial, which began earlier this week.
Ventura had filed a lawsuit against Diddy in 2023, which was settled a day later.
During her ongoing testimony, she described her past with the rapper, including being part of what she referred to as his "freak offs".

Ventura said, “It could be a little heartbreaking," as she had expected a larger part in his life, including his children from previous relationships.
The court was shown at least five images of the alleged encounters, described by Ventura as “hell on my body.” To protect her privacy, only the jury, Diddy’s legal team, and the prosecution were allowed to see them, reported the Daily Mail.
According to The Independent, Ventura testified that she joined the “freak offs” because she feared he’d hurt her or leak footage.
She spoke about a 2016 incident at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, where she was reportedly beaten by Diddy - an incident caught on CCTV.

Ventura, who dated Combs from 2007 to 2018, also said he would sometimes take away her possessions when angry, including her passport and watch.
In 2023, she underwent a 45-day inpatient mental health treatment program, she testified on Friday. She said she has "love from the past and what it was" for Diddy when asked if she hated him by prosecutors, CNN reported. "I don’t hate him," she said.
