Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun finally settle long-running financial dispute: Report

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun have finally resolved their long-running financial dispute, reaching a settlement that ends years of tension between the former manager-artist duo.
The agreement includes repayments for a canceled tour advance and years of unpaid commissions.
Justin Bieber settles $26 million Justice World Tour debt
The dispute, which had remained behind the scenes for some time and was considered a reason for the rift between the two, was brought back into the spotlight recently and has now been formally settled, according to a report from TMZ.

Bieber initially received a $40 million advance from concert promoter AEG for his Justice World Tour, which took place in 2022. However, when the singer canceled the tour early due to health issues, AEG demanded $26 million be returned.
At the time, Braun’s company, Hybe, stepped in and covered the amount with the understanding that Bieber would repay the company over the course of ten years.
Financial dispute soured Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun's relationship
Despite making just one payment and then stopping, Justin Bieber has now “made good on that debt … plus another one,” TMZ reported, citing sources.
This development is being seen as a major step in closing a complicated chapter in Bieber’s professional life.
Bieber and Braun shared a close bond as artist and manager since 2008, but the dispute had soured the relationship.
At the start of 2025, Bieber reportedly unfollowed Braun on Instagram, grabbing headlines and hinting that the conflict between the two had escalated.
According to the outlet, the two sides reached the agreement after a series of discussions that intensified last month following the airing of 'TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Justin Bieber?'.
Earlier, The Hollywood Reporter reported, citing a source, that the settlement between Braun and Bieber is now completed. It came after Braun stepped away from his role as CEO at Hybe.
Scooter Braun settles for much less than what Justin Bieber owed him
While Justin Bieber accused Scooter Braun of financial misconduct, an audit painted a different picture.
As per TMZ, part of the settlement includes Braun receiving half of the $11 million that he said Bieber owed in various unpaid commissions that had piled up over the years.
As Braun reportedly accepted less than what was allegedly owed, an insider called it a win for the 'Baby' singer.
An independent audit conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers found Bieber owed Braun another $8.6 million in unpaid commissions. However, Braun reportedly chose to waive the entire amount, choosing not to pursue it.
