LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA: Justin Bieber is once again under fire for stirring up drama with Taylor Swift. The singer sparked controversy on Friday, March 14, after posting an Instagram Story featuring the song 'Bad Blood' over an image of the recent blood moon.

However, what caught fans' attention wasn’t just the song choice, it was the fact that Bieber used the older, "stolen" version of the track instead of Swift’s re-recorded "Taylor’s Version".

Another tweeted, "Why is he so obsessed with female pop stars?"

The other user wrote, "Of course he’s using the stolen version…" while another user wrote, "Why all these men are obsessed w taylor swift?

One user summed it up best, "It’s the fact the rereleased version of bad blood is more likely on top of the result yet him choosing the stolen version."

Another user agreed, saying, "He wants Taylors fans to stream his music so bad. Thinking they will forget the way he came for Taylor Swift for simply wanting the masters of her music back."

"Sorry, but it’s incredibly obvious that Justin Bieber only posted that Taylor Bad Blood IG story so he could create headlines on the day of Selena’s single and music video release. Sad individual," one fan tweeted.

Why Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber’s relationship has been strained for years?

Justin Bieber’s strained relationship with Taylor Swift dates back years, largely due to his ties to Scooter Braun, the music executive who controversially acquired the rights to Swift’s first six albums in 2016. At the time, Swift accused Braun of bullying her and preventing her from owning her own work.

Bieber added fuel to the fire when he posted a FaceTime screenshot with Braun and Kanye West, captioning it, "Taylor Swift what up."

Swift later responded in a lengthy Tumblr post, condemning Braun’s business tactics and calling out Bieber for his involvement. While Bieber issued a public apology in 2019, insisting he meant no harm, he also defended Braun, arguing that Swift’s public statements had unfairly turned fans against his former manager.

Swift went on to re-record her albums to reclaim ownership, branding them as "Taylor’s Version".

Meanwhile, Bieber eventually cut ties with Braun, who announced his retirement from music management in 2023. By January 2025, Bieber had unfollowed Braun on Instagram, signaling the final chapter of their professional relationship.
