AUSTIN, TEXAS: Joe Rogan took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to inform rapper Kanye West that he was being catfished by an impersonator of the 'JRE podcast' host.

West returned to X recently after reactivating his account. The rapper had been texting with someone who he believed was Rogan and also posted text messages of the conversation in which "Joe Rogan" invited him onto his podcast. He later deleted the post, according to OutKick

In the now-deleted post, Kanye West attached the screenshot and captioned it, "W/JOE ROGAN COUNTDOWN TO LIVE INTERVIEW."

As the post went viral, the real Joe Rogan informed West via a post on X in which he wrote, "Hey @KanyeWest, I don't know who you're talking to but that's not me."

Notably, Kanye West appeared on Joe Rogan's podcast in October 2020. Meanwhile, it is unclear with whom West was having a conversation with.

Interestingly, West is known for being expressive on social media, and for the last few months, barring when he deactivated his X account, he has been quite active on the social media platform and has regularly posted his thoughts.

In one of his recent posts, he reacted to President Donald Trump’s address to Congress on Tuesday, March 4, and made bold declarations about "wokeness."

He initially wrote, "Trump's Address" along with a link to Trump's speech but later followed up with a controversial statement. He mentioned, "Wokeness is bad. Wokeness is trouble. It's gone. Thank you, President Trump." He later deleted that post.

Similarly, in February, he urged the President to "Free Puff" and slammed celebs for not speaking in defense of disgraced rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

He wrote in a post on X, "@realDonaldTrump PLEASE FREE MY BROTHER PUFF."

In a different post, he slammed celebrities and wrote, “ALL THESE CELEBRITY N***** AND B****** IS P**** YALL A WATCH OUR BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY S***. WE ALL WATCHED TAKE CHRIS BROWN AND AINT NOBODY DO NOTHING I WAS P****THEN TOO CHRIS BROWN ITS TO THE WHEELS FALL OFF.”

The above posts were also later removed after he deactivated his X account.
