LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Timberlake has disappointed his fans in London after he canceled his one-night-only concert as he continues to battle the flu.

The announcement on Thursday, February 22, came through a video shared on Instagram where he expressed regret over canceling the scheduled show, according to People.

Justin Timberlake says his flu symptoms have worsened since its onset

The singer was set to perform on Friday, February 23 at London's Roundhouse.

In a selfie-style video, Timberlake began his video with a raspy voice as he said, "Hi everybody."

"This is an unfortunate video to have to send out, but I’m sure you can tell from the sound of things that I am not going to be able to make it to the show on Friday, which I’m gutted about," he shared.

He further updated that he had been "in London all week" ahead of the show but began feeling worse after his appearance on a TV show.

"As you may or may not know, I’ve been battling some kind of bug," Timberlake said.

"I thought I was getting better, but it just took a turn for the worse. We almost didn’t make it to [The Graham Norton Show], but was able to power through," he added.

"This morning I woke up just feeling worse than ever," he continued.

Justin Timberlake feels 'terrible' he had to cancel his London show

The artist is scheduled to perform in London for a show in August at the O2 Arena as part of his forthcoming Forget Tomorrow World Tour.

However, he shared that he wishes to make up the Roundhouse concert.

"All I can say is maybe next time when we come into town, I’ll be able to make it up to you and we can rock the Roundhouse one more time," said the 'Trolls Band Together' star.

"But for now, I feel terrible. I hope none of you get this flu. Thanks, love you guys, and I’ll see you next time," he added.

In an Instagram video of himself performing a rendition of his latest single 'Selfish', the singer updated his fans earlier this month that he had come down with the flu and he appeared to have less-than-perfect vocal conditions.

"Still getting over the flu which makes it silly to sing so excuse the raspy voice but messing around with an acoustic version of 'Selfish'," he wrote in his caption in the post shared on February 3.
