Kacey Musgraves makes long-awaited Coachella comeback
Musgraves is scheduled to perform on Saturday, April 18, from 3.00 to 3.50 pm at the Mojave Tent, taking a slot that generated buzz during the first weekend.
The same stage previously hosted Jack White, whose appearance was also revealed in a similarly low-key way through set times.
Her return feels like a full-circle moment for fans who remember her standout 2019 performance.

That year, Musgraves didn’t just sing – she created one of the festival’s most talked-about crowd interactions.
Leading a playful call-and-response of “yee” and “haw,” she jokingly called out the audience when they joined in too early, turning the moment into a meme that lasted far beyond the festival grounds.
At that time, she performed on the main stage between Mon Laferte and Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, holding her own in a lineup full of energy and variety.
A new era of music meets familiar roots
This Coachella return comes at an interesting time in Musgraves’ career. The singer recently announced her sixth studio album, 'Middle of Nowhere,' which is set to release on May 1.
She has already given fans a taste of what’s coming with the lead single 'Dry Spell,' along with its music video released last month.
The upcoming project also features collaborations with artists like Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson, Billy Strings and Gregory Alan Isakov.
Musgraves’ sound has evolved over the years, especially since her Grammy-winning album “Golden Hour” in 2018.
While she leaned into a more folk-pop style in recent projects, her new album appears to bring her back closer to her country roots while still experimenting.
Interestingly, the album has been described as “genre-less,” suggesting that Musgraves is continuing to blur the lines rather than stay confined to one sound.
What fans can expect from her desert set
With new music on the horizon and a history of memorable live moments, expectations are naturally high for Musgraves’ return.
After seven years away from the Coachella stage, Musgraves is stepping back into a space that helped define a key moment in her career.
Her 2019 set proved she knows how to connect with a festival crowd, blending humor, charm and strong vocals.
She didn’t say f*ckin’ yee 🤠😂

This time around, fans could see a mix of her newer material alongside familiar favorites, creating a set that reflects how far she’s come since her last appearance.
The Mojave Tent setting may also offer a more intimate experience compared to the main stage she once commanded, giving her performance a different kind of energy.
