WASHINGTON, DC: Karoline Leavitt is marking her final days as White House press secretary with a birthday celebration that included luxury gifts from her husband, Nicholas Riccio.

The 29-year-old shared a glimpse of her birthday presents on Monday, August 24, as she prepares to leave her White House role at the end of August.

Leavitt is expected to spend more time with her family after stepping down from the position.

Leavitt took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of the presents and cards she received from her family. Among the gifts were two Louis Vuitton boxes tied with blue ribbons, along with a bouquet of flowers.

The photo also showed three pink envelopes addressed to “Mom,” “Momma,” and “My wife,” giving the birthday display a personal touch.

One of the cards was presumably from her husband, Nicholas Riccio, whom Leavitt married in January 2025. Riccio is 60, making the couple's age difference 31 years.

Leavitt and Riccio have two children together. Their son, Nicholas “Niko,” was born in July 2024, while their daughter, Viviana “Vivi,” was born in May 2026.

The birthday celebration comes at an emotional time for Leavitt, who is preparing to say goodbye to the White House after serving as Donald Trump's press secretary.

Karoline Leavitt prepares to exit White House role

Leavitt will resign from her position at the end of August, with her decision coming as she looks to spend more time with her growing family.

President Donald Trump first announced the news on August 12 in a Truth Social post.

Trump praised Leavitt's work and said she would remain part of his political circle after leaving the White House. “Karoline will now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party,” Trump wrote.

He also praised her work as press secretary, saying she had been “a real leader in the White House” and had done a “phenomenal job” fighting for “Justice, Liberty, and Freedom.”

Leavitt became the youngest White House press secretary in history.

She is also Trump's second-longest-serving press secretary when his two administrations are considered together.

Karoline Leavitt celebrates final days with farewell party

As her White House tenure winds down, Leavitt has also been sharing moments from her farewell celebrations. On Sunday, August 23, she posted photos and videos from a goodbye party on her Instagram Stories.

The celebration included a cake designed to look like the White House press secretary's lectern, complete with a White House seal.

“@katiemiller knows how to throw a party,” Leavitt wrote, referring to former White House aide Katie Miller.

She also shared pictures of custom cookies made for the occasion.

One cookie carried the phrase “no more questions” in blue icing, a fitting reference to her time at the White House briefing podium.

Karoline Leavitt returns to Trump’s MAGA Inc in September

Leaving the White House does not mean Leavitt is stepping away from Trump's political world. She has revealed that she will return to Trump's super PAC MAGA Inc in September.
