WASHINGTON, DC: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who has recently welcomed her second child, Viviana, shared a heartwarming picture with her children on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

The Trump administration spokesperson revealed on Thursday, May 7, that she has welcomed her second child, a baby girl named Viviana, on May 1, sharing that both mother and daughter are healthy as she enjoys life away from the pace of the White House.

Karoline Leavitt shares photo with children on Mother’s Day

Karoline Leavitt made headlines for something far removed from politics as she grabbed the spotlight with her Mother’s Day greetings on Instagram featuring her newborn daughter and son, Niko.

The mom of two posted a sweet snapshot of herself in bed, cuddled up with son Niko and daughter Vivi.

She also added a cute caption, “Snuggles with my babies. Nothing better than this.” "Happy Mother's Day to all," Leavitt wrote, extending the greetings.

Karoline Leavitt welcomes second child, a daughter

Karoline Leavitt announced that her daughter, who will be called “Vivi,” was born on May 1.

Sharing a photo of herself holding the newborn in her arms on social media, Leavitt gave followers a rare look into her personal life. The post was one of her first public updates since taking maternity leave from the White House.

“She is perfect and healthy, and her big brother is joyfully adjusting to life with his new baby sister,” Leavitt wrote. “We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble.”

Leavitt, 28, has become one of the most recognized faces in Donald Trump’s administration, often engaging in heated exchanges with reporters during White House press briefings.

Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, are also parents to their son Nicholas, who is known as “Niko” and was born in 2024.

Although Leavitt had originally planned to begin her leave in late April, she briefly returned to the spotlight after the security incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. She made an unexpected media appearance before once again stepping away ahead of her due date.

Leavitt first shared that she was expecting a daughter late last year, describing the baby as “the greatest Christmas gift” she and her husband could have asked for.
