LONDON, ENGLAND: Kate Middleton made her first significant public appearance in months at the Festival of Remembrance, alongside Prince William, where she paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Princess Diana.

Princess Kate showed consistency by wearing all black as a sign of respect, as was customary for the somber event. Her wavy, side-parted hairdo highlighted a unique piece of jewelry that seemed to be Princess Diana's old Collingwood pearl earrings, per People.

Kate Middleton stuns in Princess Diana's earrings

Kate Middleton, 42, attended the Festival of Remembrance at London's Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, November 9, with Prince William, King Charles, and other royal family members.

In keeping with custom, the royal family joined forces to support the Royal British Legion's yearly celebration of the sacrifices and service of the members of the British and Commonwealth Armed Forces.

The Princess of Wales looked stunning in a black mid-length dress with a deep v-neck collar and accessorized with a chic black clutch purse.

The radiant princess wore her hair down to her shoulders and, most strikingly, a set of gorgeous drop pearl and diamond earrings.

Astute royal fans quickly noted that the stunning earrings were originally worn by the late Princess, who got them as a wedding present from London's Collingwood Jewelers.

Princess Diana wore the pair on her wedding day as part of her farewell attire, per Daily Mail.

The late princess was seen wearing the Collingwood Pearl Drop Earrings again during trips to Australia, Canada, Italy, and the United States, among other places.

Diana also wore them to a 1989 trip to Hong Kong and, notably, to a dinner at the Serpentine Gallery in London in 1994, when she donned her eye-catching "revenge dress" shortly after Charles, the then Prince of Wales, admitted to infidelity.

Kate Middleton apparently has a go-to outfit for the Festival of Remembrance

The Princess of Wales completed her look with a significant pop of her Fleet Air Arm brooch and another item already in her jewelry box: the Nura pearl necklace from British brand Monica Vinader.

She also wore her famous sapphire engagement ring, which she recently changed up following her completion of chemotherapy.

Middleton appears to have had a preferred go-to outfit for the Festival of Remembrance. The Princess of Wales wore a similar long black dress with her hair down, a poppy pin, and emotive pearl jewelry in 2023, 2022, and 2021.

Princess Kate wore the late Queen Elizabeth's three-strand pearl necklace and diamond and pearl earrings as particularly poignant accessories during the Festival of Remembrance in November 2023.

Princess Kate wore the golden-winged pin with her poppies on Remembrance Sunday after being named the 2023 Commodore-in-Chief of the Fleet Air Arm.

In 2022, Middleton also paid tribute to her late grandmother-in-law, who died at the age of 96, by wearing the late Queen's jewelry to the Remembrance gathering.

In 2021, Princess Kate, then known as the Duchess of Cambridge, accessorized a tri-strand pearl bracelet that had formerly belonged to Princess Diana, with a glittering poppy brooch and Collingwood pearl earrings.
