LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Kate Middleton told the world her devastating truth at 6 pm on Friday, March 22, which reportedly carries a significant meaning.

Express.co.uk reported that the announcement was made at that particular time because King Charles also revealed his cancer diagnosis at six in the evening in February.

Media houses knew beforehand about Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis

Another vital reason is that the Palace wanted to give the news near the same time as the BBC News at Six broadcasts. It has been said that it’s common practice in the royal household.

The publication also reported that major news agencies received the news before the public so that they would be ready to publish or telecast it. However, they were asked to only release it after the official announcement.

Kate in her video statement stated, “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery.

“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”

Kate Middleton says she’s in early stages of preventative chemotherapy

She then said, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful.”

“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present,” said the Princess, while shutting down all the wild rumors about her.

The mother-of-three added, “My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

People shower love and support on Kate Middleton

The future Queen was showered with love and support in the comment section.

A fan wrote, “I think it's awful she was forced to have to do this. This poor woman needed privacy and the media just ruined everything. Just leave her in peace with her family.”

Another supporter noted, “I hope the press feel utterly ashamed for their despicable behaviour. The princess was forced into making that extremely difficult video message! She should have been allowed to recover in privacy and peace.”

“This poor woman has undergone something life changing that should remain private if she so chooses, to share at her discretion, yet here she is having to explain herself prematurely to nations of busy bodies in the midst of all of this drama. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery, princess. We will be praying for you in the United States,” the third one stated.

The fourth user added, “People should be appalled by those who had all these conspiracy theories...they should be ashamed of themselves by attacking this wonderful lady. She didn't have to do this but no doubt she felt she had to.”
