LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Keke Palmer recently stated that she has "never been so happy in my life," despite her continuing legal struggle with Darius Jackson, against whom she has subsequently been granted a restraining order after making assault allegations.
The actress, 30, announced on Instagram on Wednesday, January 3, that 2024 is off to an incredible start as she uploaded a video of her swimming with a stingray while on vacation.
Notably, Jackson has filed for a restraining order against Palmer after responding to the 'Hustlers' star's request for one on December 15, 2023, alleging that she had verbally and physically abused him during their relationship, as per TMZ.

Palmer expressed her aspirations for 2024 and her pride in her personal development over the previous year in the caption of the Instagram post.
It read, "Whew chile! These mosquitoes done had they way with my eye, I feel like I was in that Martin episode 🤣🤣🤣."
She continued, "I have never been so happy in my life!! Already 2024 has started off on the vibes I was looking for, more experiences and more enjoying what this beautiful world has to offer. Look at my smile! I don’t even recognize me! I made a second connection with this girl here, I’m on clouuuuuud nine!"
In the clip, the 'Nope' actress was seen holding a sting ray in the blue waters of the sea.
Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson's ongoing legal dispute
Palmer, who shares 10-month-old Leodis "Leo" with Jackson, got a temporary restraining order against him in November 2023. It noted that Jackson was to stay at least 100 yards away from Palmer and their child.
According to the restraining order request Palmer filed in Los Angeles, the relationship, which began in 2021, "finally ended for good" in early December 2023 "primarily due to the physical and emotional abuse inflicted."
Additionally, stills from security footage, included in the court documents, allegedly showed Jackson assaulting Palmer at her house in November 2023s.
The actress went on to describe another alleged incident that occurred in February 2022, where she said he "slammed [her] on the floor and slapped [her] head from side to side."
Jackson responded to Palmer's accusations in December 2023 by filing for a restraining order against her on December 19.
According to the court documents obtained by Page Six, he referred to the 'Rags' actress as the "primary aggressor" and claimed that she "engaged in abusive behavior."
The ex-collegiate athlete further stated that Palmer "punched" him in the face "during a birthday party" in August 2021 and claimed that she struck and choked him in February 2022.
