The 31-year-old singer died in Buenos Aires last month after a fatal fall from the third floor of his hotel suite.

Payne's untimely death has led to public scrutiny regarding the music industry’s treatment of young artists, with fans and friends alike questioning whether more could have been done to help him.

Osbourne, 40, fondly remembered her final conversations with Liam Payne, describing him as caring and attentive.

Reflecting on their discussions, she revealed that Payne often checked in on her well-being. Despite his own inner struggles, he always made time to support his friends.

"Last time we’d spoken, he was in a really good place, and I wasn’t, so he was checking on me to make sure that I was okay," she explained. "He said if I ever needed anything, he would be there... and the fact that there was nobody there for him just breaks my heart."

However, Osbourne now sees Payne’s gestures as signs of his hidden mental health battle, suggesting he may have been "crying out for help."

In a recent interview, she shared her grief: "To be alone in that mental state... he was crying out for help, and nobody helped him. I think that that is just beyond heartbreaking because he made all those people millions of dollars."

Petition advocating for 'Liam's Law' has surfaced following Liam Payne's death

Following Liam Payne's death, a petition advocating for "Liam's Law" has surfaced, amassing over 100,000 signatures.

The proposed legislation aims to mandate regular mental health check-ups and ongoing support for artists throughout their careers.

Osbourne, who has faced her own battles with mental health, voiced her frustration with record companies, arguing that they neglect the well-being of their talent while profiting immensely from their work.

“Record companies need to be held accountable for the mental health of their artists,” Osbourne said, aligning herself with the petition’s goals.

She stressed that more proactive steps must be taken to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

The call for "Liam's Law" has garnered significant attention on social media, with supporters emphasizing the need for structured mental health care in the music industry.

Osbourne also addressed the problematic influence of certain medical professionals in the entertainment world.

Following reports that Payne had multiple drugs in his system, she criticized doctors who cater to celebrities and fulfill their every request without considering the consequences.

“There are a number of doctors who want to be around celebrities, so they give them what they want,” she said, hinting at a larger issue of enablers in the industry. “I see them in movies or fly-on-the-wall docuseries, and I’m like: 'I know that doctor.'”

These revelations come after toxicology reports indicated that Payne had several substances in his system at the time of his death, including pink cocaine (a combination of various drugs), cocaine, benzodiazepine, and crack.

Police also discovered a blister pack of clonazepam in Payne's hotel room, raising further questions about his mental state and the support he may have been lacking.
