The rapper brought tennis legend and Drake's ex- girlfriend Serena Williams onstage, sending fans into a frenzy as they assumed her appearance was a jab at Drake, whose beef with Lamar has been simmering for years, according to Mirror.

The Super Bowl 2025 showdown, which saw the Philadelphia Eagles crushing the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22, had many celebrities in attendance. But during halftime, the spotlight fell on Serena Williams, who surprised fans with an appearance during Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show.

Notably, Lamar sang his hit track 'Not Like Us' as Serena danced to it on stage displaying some really cool moves.

Interestingly, Williams and Drake are believed to be exes, with a rumored romance between the two back in 2015. In 2016, the rapper confirmed they were together at one point by revealing she inspired his song 'Too Good'.

Furthermore, in his 2022 song 'Middle of the Ocean', he named-dropped Williams, rapping, "Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie/ He claim we don't got a problem but/ No, boo, it is like you comin' for sushi/ We might pop up on 'em at will like Suzuki."

However, when Lamar dissed Drake in their ultimate rap showdown in the summer of 2024, he stood for Williams, and in his song 'Not Like Us', he rapped, "From Alondra down to Central, better not speak on Serena."

Drake and Lamar have been involved in a rap feud since March 2024, the day the song 'Like That' by Lamar was released. Their feud reached a fever pitch in May 2024, when Lamar dropped the diss track 'Not Like Us'.

But even before that, the two rappers seemed to be at odds for years, taking sly digs at each other in their lyrics.
