Kevin Costner and Pete Davidson's Super Bowl 2025 bromance leaves fans amused: 'Are they dating now?'

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Pete Davidson and Kevin Costner left people baffled when they were seen together at the Super Bowl 2025 on Sunday, February 9.

The duo was among many celebrities, like Louis Tomlinson, Bradley Cooper, Taylor Swift, Anne Hathaway, and Miles Teller, who visited Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, to watch the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Photos and videos of the ‘Yellowstone’ star interacting with Davidson soon went viral.

As per a lip-reading expert, cited by The Mirror, during a conversation, the 70-year-old actor told the 'Saturday Night Live' alum, "Everybody hates them, I don't like 'em, I hate 'em.” However, it’s not clear which team Costner was actually talking about.

Netizens were quick to make jokes about Pete Davidson and Kevin Costner sitting next to each other at the Caesars Superdome during the Super Bowl. 

One quipped, "PETE DAVIDSON IS DATING KEVIN COSTNER ?!???" while another added, "They're cute together 🥰." 

"Are they dating now?" a person asked jokingly. "Kevin Costner and Pete Davidson are a combination I was not expecting," declared someone else. 

An individual remarked, "The celebrities that are at this game don’t surprise me. But who they’re sitting with does. Why is Pete Davidson sitting next to Kevin Costner? Like what the f***."

"Pete Davidson hanging out with Kevin Costner at the Super Bowl wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card," read another tweet. 

One more added, "Hands down the weirdest s*** I've ever seen... Kevin Costner having an actual conversation with Pete Davidson."

"The celebrity pairings at the Super Bowl will always confuse me. Like what do you mean Kevin Costner and Pete Davidson are besties? And Adam Sandler is just casually chatting with THE Paul McCartney???" another person expressed. 

Costner and Davidson were also seen together at The Sugar Mill for a private Super Bowl party hosted by the Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin on Saturday.

This came months after Peter Davidson and 'Outer Banks' star Madelyn Cline's rumored relationship ended after nearly a year of dating.

"They ended things fairly recently, and I understand it was amicable," a source told The US Sun in July 2024.

Regarding Costner's love life, he himself told CNN in June 2024, "Jewel and I are friends. We’ve never gone out ever. She’s special, and I don’t want to, I don’t want these rumors to ruin our friendship because that’s what we have," referring to rumors of him dating the 50-year-old 'Standing Still' crooner.

"She’s special to me. She’s beautiful enough to go out with," he added.
