LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pete Davidson is nearing the end of his extensive tattoo removal journey by burning his skin layers.
The comedian, known for his ink-covered body with 200 tattoos, has been undergoing the process of removing his tattoos since 2020.
Pete Davidson says the tattoo removal process is 'horrible'
Pete Davidson recently shared an update on the painful procedure, describing it as "horrible" and revealing that most of his tattoos are "almost gone."
Davidson detailed the experience during his appearance on the January 30 episode of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.'
"They gotta burn off a layer of your skin and then it has to heal for, like, six to eight weeks and you can't get in the sunlight," Davidson told Jimmy Fallon.
He added it needs to be done "like, 12 more times."
He described that the pain of removing the tattoos has been "worse" than getting them in the first place.
He warned, "So really think about that 'Game of Thrones' tattoo you're thinking of getting, all right? Really think about it," E! News noted.

The 'King of Staten Island' star shared that he had nearly 200 tattoos before deciding to remove them.
"I was a sad boy," he told Fellon of the reason for his extensive collection of tattoos.
"So you would just think of something and go get it?" Fallon asked, to which Davidson responded, "Yeah, it was a weird time."
"I don't know, everybody was getting tattoos, like, five years ago," he continued, adding "Do you remember that?"
Davidson also referenced Post Malone’s well-known face tattoos as an example of celebrities getting inked during that time.
"I was like, 'Yeah, me too, dude,'" he joked. "'I'm exhausted,'" Davidson added.

While Pete Davidson remains committed to removing most of his tattoos, he admitted that he has kept a few.
"Maybe like two or three, but I'm trying to clean slate it," he explained, adding "Trying to be an adult."
Previously, the 'Dumb Money' actor explained that his decision to remove the tattoos was largely influenced by his acting career.
"I honestly never thought that I would get an opportunity to act, and I love it a lot," he told Seth Meyers on 'The Late Show' in 2021.
"For some reason, people in movies, they don't have [tattoos] that much," he said at the time.
