It was revealed in January that the 69-year-old star’s ex-wife has been dating Costner’s former friend Josh Connor. This has allegedly not sit well with the Oscar-winning star, and he has been complaining about the situation to his close friends.
Sources close to the former couple further shared that Christine feels she has nothing to hide from her former husband, as she is flaunting her new romance with Connor. Recently, they were seen on a shopping trip to Calabasas.
Costner, on the other hand, has moved on with singer Jewel. But, his new romance has reportedly done little to make him deliriously happy.
The source recently shared with the outlet RadarOnline, “Kevin is very bitter and far from happy to see Christine and Josh so obviously happy and planning their lives together.”
The insider further dished out that knowing the happy couple is living in his pocket, Costner is left further displeased.
“It pains him more than anything to know they’re living high on the hog on his dime — and every time one of those big monthly support checks goes out, it makes him sick to his stomach,” shared the mole.
The insider added that Costner would like to flaunt his new relationship with the ‘Down So Long’ singer, but “she’s taking things slowly.” The source explained, “He’d love to be parading around with Jewel on his arm but she’s taking things slowly and spooked by the intense level of interest surrounding their relationship.” The insider added that Jewel is facilitating her meetings with Costner “under the radar” as she is well aware of the “public fascination” regarding the star.
The source revealed, “Christine and Josh are rubbing salt in the wound by bragging about their beautiful love story,” before adding, “Kevin’s heard they might even get engaged — and to say it infuriates him is an understatement.”
Christine filed for divorce from ‘The Bodyguard’ actor in 2023. Following a bitter court battle, the estranged couple finalized their divorce in February 2024 with Costner agreeing to pay $63K in child support.
Jewel is not happy with Kevin Costner’s self-obsession
Costner sparked romance rumors with Jewel for the first time when they were spotted together on Richard Branson's Necker Island while attending a fundraiser for the ‘Foolish Games’ singer’s Inspiring Children Foundation.
However, recently a source shared with The National Enquirer per RadarOnline, "Jewel likes him a lot, but she's told him he needs to stop this obsession with his appearance if he wants her to stick around.”
The source added, "They're not seeing a lot of each other right now, and Kevin seems to feel that the more he spruces himself up, the more it'll turn her on," before adding, "But the reality is the opposite."
The mole dished, "She's not into all the Hollywood phony-baloney, so she sure as heck doesn't want to be with a man who's caught up in that shallowness," and noted, "If Kevin wants to hand on to her, he needs to cool it with all the so-called self-improvement."
