Kevin Costner has his ‘sights zoomed in’ on Hoda Kotb as both seek to get over recent heartbreaks

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Hollywood star Kevin Costner is interested in wooing outgoing 'Today' co-host Hoda Kotb, and the latter is thrilled with the development, Radar Online reported.

Sources told the outlet that both Costner and Kotb are seeking to get together after battling their own recent heartbreaks.

'Yellowstone' star Costner, 69, divorced his wife of nearly two decades, Christine Baumgartner, 50, in 2023. They share three children, Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 14.

Television personality Kotb, 60, on the other hand, separated from her financier fiance Joel Schiffman, 66, after eight years in 2022. According to People, she adopted two children with him, Haley Joy, 7, and Hope Catherine, 4, and is presently a single mother.

After his divorce, Kevin Costner is actively trying to get back into the dating pool, and Hoda Kotb has caught his attention.

"With his bitter split behind him, Kevin's made it known that he's back in the hunt for a new romantic partner," said a source.

"And he's made it pretty clear his sights have zoomed in on also available Hoda!"

The statement was supported by the fact that Costner recently praised Kotb by saying, "She's got a spark!"

Back in July, Kotb found out that fans were "shipping" her with the actor during her appearance on the show, 'Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen'. According to the New York Post, she playfully expressed at the time, "Well, if the viewers want it!"

Fans started to "ship" both of them after Kotb interviewed Costner on 'Today' in June while he was promoting his new Western movie 'Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1'.

Hoda Kotb's close friend and 'Today' co-host Jenna Bush Hager reportedly admitted to being approached by fans on the street, asking her to play matchmaker between Kotb and Kevin Costner.

"I was like, 'Wow, I didn't realize they were flirting behind my back,'" Hager said.

Another friend stated, "Hoda and Kevin are a match made in heaven. They've had their romantic difficulties in recent years – Kevin going through his acrimonious split with Christine and Hoda breaking up with Joel. But this feels perfect right now."

"Kevin loves a powerful woman, and Hoda is a sucker for a pretty face. You can pretty much book that this is going to happen!" they added.
