Kevin Hart admits he regrets engaging in Katt Williams feud: 'There's no gain'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kevin Hart has finally broken his silence over his beef with Katt Williams.

The 'Undeclared' star sat down for an interview on Charlamagne tha God’s 'Out of Context' show, where he expressed his regret about ever responding to the Ohio comedian’s comments, as per the Atlanta Black Star.

Kevin Hart thinks he should have never engaged with Katt Williams 

Kevin Hart shared, "I think there’s probably one moment where I’ve talked about Katt publicly. We were promoting ‘Night School,’ and Tiffany [Haddish] was affected by some of the things he said. It was more of a, like, support for her in that moment and some shots at him."

He admitted that he "should’ve never addressed him, at all. I don’t have to. Like, why? What will it do for me? What will I gain? There’s no gain."

"I look at everything from a business and economic standpoint. If I’m investing in something, what is my return? … If I can’t answer that question… then it doesn’t get energy," added Hart. 

Kevin Hart once asked Katt Williams' to 'take responsibility' for his actions 

In 2016, Katt Williams called Kevin Hart a "puppet," which is said to have started their beef. Two years later, things escalated when the 53-year-old stand-up comedian took a dig at Tiffany Haddish.

Soon after that, Hart and Haddish appeared on ‘The Breakfast Club’, where the ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ actor expressed his frustration with Williams. He said, "You keep pointing at Hollywood, ‘Hollywood and the White man, this, this, and this,’ when do you take responsibility for your actions?"

He even declared, "Have you ever used your platform to f**king bring the people under you up? You haven’t. So, because you haven’t, don’t s**t on those who now are."

Earlier this year, in January, the Williams and Hart's feud appeared to reignite after the former called the latter an "industry plant."

When probed about the remark, Hart just said, "You don’t entertain the circus, you watch it."

Then in a March interview with The Wall Street Journal, he stated, "It’s just that. It’s entertainment. If that’s what he fuels himself off, God bless him. Good for him."

"I hope he gets all that he needs and he wants, and I’m here cheering for him from afar. … That’s my real energy. I really mean it! That’s how happy and secure I am with my career and my life," added the 'Lift' star.

Moreover, in his ‘Out of Context’ interview, Hart added, "When you hear things like that, you just … You gotta give a nod to common sense versus lack thereof."
