Kick Kennedy always had a crush on Ben Affleck, claims source as he moves on from Jennifer Lopez

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rumor has it that Robert F Kennedy Jr's daughter Kathleen 'Kick' Kennedy has always adored Ben Affleck and their friendship has become evident from recent sightings of the two.

The duo have been recently spotted hanging out over the weekend amid Affleck's divorce from Jennifer Lopez. Now, insiders have revealed that Kennedy Jr's 36-year-old daughter has "always" had a thing for the A-list actor.

Kick Kennedy's longtime celeb crush 'has always been Ben'

According to several individuals, the 52-year-old 'Gone Girl' actor has been spotted hanging out with Kick Kennedy, one of Robert F Kennedy Jr's six children, amid his ongoing divorce from Jennifer Lopez, 55.

Rumors that the actor had moved on following his divorce also surfaced as a result of their many appearances together. According to the latest reports, Kick has had a crush on Affleck for a long time.

"Kick and Ben have been spending time together, but I'm not sure what's happening," one source revealed to People.

The insider added, "Kick’s celeb crush has always been Ben," noting that they are unsure of how or when the two first met.

Kick, who has steered clear of politics unlike her father, is an actress and activist, who is described by the source as a "partier," saying that she "likes to have a good time."

However, an additional insider maintained, "I don't think they even know each other. There's definitely nothing going on."

Kick's real name Kathleen Agnes Cavendish was given in honor of her great-aunt, who died at the age of 28 in a plane crash in France. Kick is one of Kennedy Jr's two children from his first marriage to Emily Black.

According to reports, Kick and Affleck started getting to know each other in late April. It's unknown, though, how the two got together or what kind of relationship they had.

Significantly, Lopez and Affleck split up on April 26, 2024. But the 'Jenny From the Block' singer waited until last week, on the eve of their second wedding anniversary, to file for divorce from the actor.

Kick Kennedy and Ben Affleck are 'spending time together'

According to a second source, Kick Kennedy and Ben Affleck have reportedly been "spending time together" since late spring. The two have been sighted together at the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel and other places, per Page Six.

Kick was previously romantically linked to Harper Simon, the son of Paul Simon. She also dated billionaire banking heir Matthew Mellon before he passed away in 2018.

Affleck was previously married to Jennifer Garner with whom he has three children. Lopez filed for divorce from the 'Air' star on August 20 after the couple had been together for less than two years.

The couple's separation was announced following months of rumors that they were going through marital problems and after they spent the majority of the summer apart and on different coasts.

Ben Affleck reportedly 'not dating' Kick Kennedy, claims another source

According to another source, Ben Affleck has not moved on from Jennifer Lopez. "Ben is not dating Kick," a source spilled to Us Weekly.

Although the 'Air' actor "might know her in passing," he is "not dating anyone," the source added.

According to a different source, Lopez sought to dissolve their relationship after Affleck and she "had gone through all the details" of their breakup.

The insider clarified, "They had already agreed to these terms before she filed. J.Lo finally pulled the trigger because that was their agreement that she would file, and she was the one who ultimately made the decision."

Affleck and Lopez attempted couples therapy in an attempt to "make it work," a separate source previously told before their split. "It was more and more apparent they weren’t a good match," the source stated. "It boiled down to [the fact that] they are two different people."
