LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kieran Culkin has revealed why his children have yet to watch the iconic Christmas comedy, 'Home Alone', in which he starred alongside his brother, Macaulay Culkin.

Macaulay, then 11, shot to fame with his portrayal of Kevin McCallister in the 1990 film. Kieran, who was just seven years old, played Fuller, Kevin's youngest cousin. The Chris Columbus classic follows an eight-year-old boy who uses his creativity and resourcefulness to fend off two burglars after being left home alone during the holidays.

Kieran and his wife, Jazz Charton, whom he married in 2013, share two children, daughter Kinsey, five, and son Wilder, three. Despite the film being adored by children around the world, the 'Succession' actor has yet to allow his children to watch it.

Speaking to E! News at the 34th Annual Gotham Film Awards in New York City on Monday, December 2, Kieran Culkin explained, "There’s still some scary parts."

He highlighted specific scenes that influenced his decision, saying, "For the 3-year-old, there’s the tarantula [and] there’s the guy at the end who said, 'I’m gonna bite off all your fingers.' That’s scary for a 3-year-old."

However, Kieran hinted that his decision might change soon, saying, "We think they might be ready for Home Alone this year. If not, next year."

"I already showed it to him last year, he thinks it's so funny. I convinced my oldest that he's the kid in the movie," Macaulay told Entertainment Tonight in December 2023.
