Kim Kardashian asks for 'accountability' for ICE actions, stands in support of victims

Kim Kardashian revealed she had made a significant donation to the National Immigration Law Center, which supports the rights of low-income immigrants

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian on Friday, Jan 30, issued a public statement offering support for families affected by recent deaths tied to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations and called for greater accountability and compassionate immigration enforcement.

The reality television personality and entrepreneur posted her message on social media platform X, citing the deaths of Alex Pretti, Renée Good, Silverio Villegas González, Keith Porter Jr and others as the impetus for her comments.

Kim Kardashian calls for accountability

In her post, Kardashian said she stands in solidarity with calls for accountability and compassionate immigration enforcement and specifically noted the impact on families and children facing separation, fear, trauma, and loss.

She wrote, “In response to the recent tragic deaths of Alex Pretti, Renee Good, Silverio Villegas González and Keith Porter Jr. and other victims, I stand in solidarity with calls for accountability and compassionate immigration enforcement.”



Demonstrations against US Immigration and Customs Enforcement unfolded across the country today, including a student walkout in New York City as well as protests in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Texas, and elsewhere.

“I stand with the families and children nationwide who are facing separation, fear, trauma, and loss amid these actions,” she added.

Kim Kardashian announces donation to Law Center

Kardashian also announced that she had donated to the National Immigration Law Center (NILC), a nonprofit organization that defends and advances the rights of low-income immigrants and their families. “I have donated to the National Immigration Law Center, a leading organization defending and advancing the rights of low-income immigrants and their families.”

Established in 1979, the National Immigration Law Center (NILC) is an advocacy organization in the US dedicated to advancing and defending the rights and opportunities of low-income immigrants.

Kardashian, with her huge social media following, shared a link to the NILC website in her post and urged people to check out the organization and support what they do.

She didn’t get into policy details, but her message focused on empathy for families dealing with these issues and called for real accountability in how immigration is enforced.

Kardashian is among several public figures who have recently spoken out about immigration enforcement and related deaths.

People in the industry, actors, directors, and producers, are showing support for victims like Liam Ramos, Alex Pretti, Renee Good, and Keith Porter Jr.
