MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Kimberly Guilfoyle’s absence from Donald Trump’s high-profile debate against Kamala Harris on Tuesday, September 10, has sparked widespread speculation of a potential breakup from Donald Trump Jr.

The former Fox News correspondent, known for her fiery support of Trump and her engagement to Don Jr, was noticeably missing during the September 10 debate - despite the attendance of Lara and Eric Trump and even Trump lawyer Alina Habba.

Adding fuel to the fire, Guilfoyle had raised eyebrows when she referred to Donald Trump as her "father-in-law" at a Florida GOP event, even though there has been no sign that she and Don Jr have tied the knot since their engagement was announced in 2022.

This isn’t the first debate Guilfoyle has skipped either - she was also absent when Trump debated Joe Biden in June, a debate notably attended by her ex-husband, California Governor Gavin Newsom.

However, writer Rick Wilson shared a viral video clip of Kimberly Guilfoyle's awkward speech at a Florida Republican Party’s annual dinner on Saturday, September 7 and captioned it on X, "She's looking rough since Don Jr moved on."

The post was initially posted by Ron Filipkowski, with the caption, "Montage of clips from Kim Guilfoyle’s embarrassing and humiliating speech tonight where she eventually had to beg FL Republicans to clap for her."

She told the crowd, "I’m here to tell you don’t lose hope. On a personal note, I can tell you that I am as hopeful as ever. Because Americans from all walks of life have had enough of the Democrats’ decline. And we are ready, we are willing, and we are able to spark a new era of American exceptionalism."

She paused from her address to hear their reaction and was met with silence, prompting her to say, "You can clap for that".

Notably, the couple faced breakup rumors in July 2024, but these were instantly rubbished after their friend Rob Thompson debunked the gossip and insisted that the couple was "very happy" together.

While the exact reason for her debate disappearance remains a mystery, many can’t help but notice that Guilfoyle has been unusually quiet on social media, a sharp contrast to Don Jr, who has been highly active online, lashing out at Democratic presidential frontrunner Harris throughout the debate.

Moreover, the couple hasn't appeared in the same social media post since Guilfoyle shared a photo of them on August 10. They still follow each other on Instagram, and the former TV star has tagged Don Jr in her recent cooking videos.
