LONDON, ENGLAND: King Charles has been reportedly strongly advised against speaking to his son Prince Harry as tensions remain high over ongoing legal disputes and the Duke of Sussex’s past disclosures.

Royal legal experts are urging the monarch to maintain silence amid fears Harry could record their conversations and later use them in court.

King Charles warned speaking to Prince Harry is a 'legal risk'

The 76-year-old king has been cautioned against any reconciliation, with legal advisers fearing that speaking to Harry could open him up to legal exposure, particularly amid the duke’s attempts to regain security protection in the UK.

A source told RadarOnline, "Charles has been advised even speaking to Harry now may be out of the question."

"He has been told Harry could use every word he says to wage a new war to get security protection, and the policy now when it comes to Harry is total silence," added the source.

Concerns over Harry recording conversations have reportedly intensified since the duke released his tell-all memoir, 'Spare'.

"The king is also up against it with his health battle, and his advisers do not want anything being leaked by Harry," the source continued.

Prince Harry's memoir and lawsuits deepen royal silence

The insider further stated that the release of 'Spare' played a major role in the royal family's decision to cut ties.

"He clearly has no qualms about dropping his family in the s**t, and neither does his wife," said the source.

"The thought of his own son using his words against him shocked Charles at first, but when he listened to his legal advisers he now sees it is a real legal risk and Harry is now totally frozen out of the royal fold as a result," the insider said as per RadarOnline.

Harry has been locked in a long-running legal battle to have his UK police protection reinstated, a service he lost after stepping back from royal duties in 2020.

Royal lawyers are reportedly concerned that even informal talks with Charles could be later cited in court or misrepresented publicly.

Meghan Markle urging Prince Harry to let go of lawsuits

A former Palace aide told Radar Online, "There is deep discomfort about any discussion of private conversations finding their way into the public domain – especially when there are legal proceedings underway. That's not just a family issue – it's a constitutional one."

Meanwhile,Meghan Markle is said to be urging Harry to move away from the legal wranglings.

A former employee of the couple’s Archewell Foundation shared, "She supports Harry 100 percent, but she wishes he could let go of these lawsuits, be happy and live in the moment."

"She wants him to live in a world where he is not burdened by this," RadarOnline reported citing the source.
