Kristin Cabot's husband was in Japan on work trip when Coldplay 'kiss cam' scandal erupted: Insider

BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS: Astronomer's former HR head Kristin Cabot's husband, Andrew Cabot, who is Privateer Rum's CEO, was on an overseas business trip when his wife was seen in the kiss-cam along with her boss at a Coldplay concert in July in Boston, an insider revealed to the New York Post.
Andrew, the founder of the Massachusetts-based high-end liquor maker, had been on a work-related trip to Japan. He returned to find himself and his family in the middle of a scandal, the source mentioned.

A source requesting anonymity revealed to the outlet, "[Andrew] was in Asia for a few weeks and returned on Saturday, so he was gone while all this went down. Poor guy."
Meanwhile, Kristin and Andrew Cabot got married sometime after her earlier divorce was finalized in 2022.
The insider added that there had been little indication of any trouble in their relationship before the Coldplay kiss-cam video went viral.

The source said, "The family is now saying they have been having marriage troubles for several months and were discussing separating, which I find interesting since as of a month ago they were saying how in love they are."
The outlet reported around five months before the scandal about the pair purchasing a $2.2 million mansion in Rye, New Hampshire.
Interestingly, Andrew Cabot is a member of one of the oldest and wealthiest families in Boston.

Moreover, the Cabots are one of the original "Boston Brahmin" clans that controlled New England for centuries.
Meanwhile, Kristin Cabot’s now-deleted LinkedIn account showed that she served as an advisory board member at Privateer Rum since September 2020.
On July 16, Kristin was seen canoodling with her boss, Andy Byron, the now-ousted CEO of Astronomer, on the jumbotron "kiss cam" at Gillette Stadium.

Following the incident, Astronomer placed both the CEO and the HR head on leave while it investigated the incident.
However, by July 19, Byron resigned, as Astronomer co-founder Pete DeJoy took over as the new interim CEO.
Kristin Cabot resigns amid Coldplay's 'kiss cam' row
Kristin Cabot reportedly resigned from her position as the HR head of Astronomer following the Coldplay 'kiss cam' moment that affected both her and the firm's former CEO, Andy Byron's life.
Her departure follows that of Byron, who left the firm last week after the company announced he would be placed on leave and investigated.

A representative for Astronomer told TMZ, "Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer...she’s resigned."
The duo became an instant viral sensation after the viral Coldplay concert moment, and because of their high-profile corporate presence, Astronomer also received unwanted attention.
Meanwhile, Cabot was recently photographed for the first time since resigning from her high-profile role.

Interestingly, her wedding ring was absent, which had been visible in older social media posts. It was also missing during the now-infamous Coldplay concert appearance.
