Kristin Cavallari calls Kardashians fake over failed friendship with Kourtney: 'They want to shut you up'
FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE: There seems to be no love lost between Kristin Cavallari and the Kardashians in the last 15 years as 'The Hills' star recently labeled the Kardashians 'calculated' and 'fake' after her failed friendship with Kourtney Kardashian.
Cavallari discussed the origins of her feud with the Kardashian family during an appearance on Bunnie XOs' podcast 'Dumb Blonde', according to Daily Mail.
Kristin Cavallari labels Kardashians 'fake'
During the broadcast, Kristin Cavallari blamed Scott Disick for the beef between her and the Kardashians. She knew Scott from her friend group in her early 20s and also dated Brody Jenner for some time, according to the outlet.
She said, "Scott and Kourtney started dating. That's how I met Kourtney. I f*****g loved Kourtney. We were really good friends."
However, Scott and Kourtney broke up for a short period and, at the same time, Cavallari headed to Las Vegas with some of her male friends.
She continued, "Scott happened to be one of the guys that came. We were always just friends. He was devastated about Kourtney, and we all went out. We had a good time. I was never even alone with Scott."
However, the next morning, several tabloids reported that Kristin and Scott had hooked up. Cavallari said, "I was like, 'What in the mother f***?'" She suggested that Scott may have planted the story to "make Kourtney jealous."
She further explained, "Kourtney was really upset about it, and I remember being on the phone with Kourtney being like, 'Kourtney, you know that that's not true. I would never f*****g touch Scott.'"
Cavallari added, "She was like, 'Well, I don't know. I just know I have sisters, and I would never put myself in that situation.'"
She further alleged, "Scott must have said it was true or something, because all it would have taken was for Scott to be like, 'That's not true'. That was my issue, too."
Notably, since the last 15 years, Cavallari doesn't feel like she's still feuding with the Kardashians. However, Disick reached out to her randomly after she was generally talking about the Kardashians on her podcast.
She said, "I go on my podcast and just was talking s**t about the Kardashians, like nothing in particular. And then Scott Disick DMs me after f*****g 15 years or something, like, 'I miss you. We should hang out.'"
She continued, "It just felt so calculated to me. And this is what the Kardashians and a lot of people in Hollywood do is when you're out there talking s**t, they want to shut you up. So, it's keep your friends close and your enemies closer. And I don't play that game. It's so fake to me."
Kristin Cavallari opens up on her 'toxic' marriage to Jay Cutler
Kristin Cavallari also discussed her tumultuous relationship with ex-husband Jay Cutler and branded him a "pathological liar" while reflecting on her definition of success.
Cavallari and Cutler share three children - sons Camden (12), Jaxon (10), and daughter Saylor (nine) - and have been navigating co-parenting since their split in 2020 after seven years of marriage.
Cavallari revealed during the podcast that their post-marriage relationship has been a "bumpy road" as their divorce was finalized in June 2022.
She said that her ex-husband is bringing "zero f*****g consistency" to their co-parenting dynamic and also called their past romance "toxic."
She added, "When you're dealing with a pathological liar, it's hard to know what the f*****g truth is."
Cavallari also addressed rumors of an affair between Cutler and her former 'Very Cavallari' co-star Kelly Henderson and hinted at the possibility that something might have happened.
She said, "I really don't think anything happened. F**k, I don't know how to be honest with you. Do I know for sure? No."
