Kylie Jenner chats with Timothee Chalamet’s sister Pauline at Oscars amid rumors they don’t get along

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Timothee Chalamet had a family night out at the 97th Academy Awards on Sunday, March 2, with both his sister - Pauline Chalamet - and girlfriend - Kylie Jenner - in attendance. 

After speculations abounded for weeks regarding a probable bad blood between Chalamet’s sister and girlfriend, the two ladies came face to face with each other at the star-studded event. 

The long-standing fan theory suggested that the 33-year-old elder sister of the ‘A Complete Unknown’ actor may harbor convoluted feelings about the Kardashian-Jenner clan after she posted a fiery rant against the existence of billionaires in the world. 

With the Kardashians and Jenners being one of the wealthiest Hollywood families, several fans wondered previously whether Pauline indirectly showed her disapproval toward the family of her brother’s girlfriend, as reported by Perez Hilton.

The Oscar night was full of highs and lows for Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner. Dubbed as one of the foremost contenders for the Best Actor award, the ‘Dune’ star lost the award to Adrien Brody of ‘The Brutalist’. 

Despite the snub, the couple appeared to have enjoyed the ceremony as they engaged in PDA. 

Once, as the makeup mogul and her actor boyfriend were sitting in the front row, the ‘Sex Lives Of College Girls’ star came forward to chat with her brother. 

Pauline was seen accompanied by Chalamet’s ‘A Complete Unknown’ co-star Elle Fanning. While the ‘Little Women’ actor and the lipkit mogul remained seated for the entire time, the visiting duo were standing. 

Though four of them had smiles plastered on their faces for the entire time, one can’t help but wonder whether there was an underlying tension between Chalamet’s two closest women. 

For the unversed, the fan theory regarding the bad blood between Pauline and Jenner started brewing after the ‘Split’ actress held no bar while castigating the billionaires during one of her social media posts in January. 

In January, several fans conjectured that Pauline was throwing shade at Jenner when she called out the super wealthy people of the US. 

She shared a tweet from Bernie Sanders who slammed ‘Oligarchy’ writing, “When I started talking about Oligarchy, many people didn’t understand what I meant. Well, that’s changed. When the three wealthiest men in America sit behind Trump at his inauguration, everyone understands that the billionaire class now controls our government. We must fight back," as reported by Perez Hilton.

Referencing the viral images from Donald Trump’s inauguration which was attended by the richest men of America, including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos, Pauline wrote, “Our system is so flawed that it allows billionaires to exist and accrue so much money and BARELY pay (and sometimes NOT PAY) ANY ANY ANY TAXES. This should not be possible. Billionaires do not need to exist. Bezos, Musk, Zuckerberg SITTING IN FRONT OF cabinet is NOT DEMOCRATIC. NOT. DEMOCRATIC.”

At the time speculations abounded regarding Pauline’s true feelings about the Kardashian-Jenner clan, who are billionaires themselves. 

While Jenner was previously named a billionaire in 2019, her net worth has since then dropped, but still stands at a whopping $900 million.

While theories regarding the duo’s equation abounded, it is worthwhile to note that Kylie Jenner and Pauline Chalamet appeared to be in good spirits when Timothee Chalamet whisked them away from the auditorium for a brief time.

It has previously been reported that the much-in-love couple vacated their seats ahead of the presentation of the Best Costume award and left the auditorium. 

In a video published by Us Weekly, it can be seen that the duo were also joined by Pauline as they left the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. 

Soon, it sparked a flurry of reactions among fans, who wondered, what could be the topics on which Jenner and Pauline talked to each other. 

"What do you think Pauline and Kylie talk about," asked one fan. 

Another guessed, "Pauline and Kylie probably talk about fashion, fame, and the latest gossip."

"Timothee really said “family outing” at the Oscars. Kylie and Pauline in the mix—this duo wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card!" noted someone else.
