While all eyes were on Timothee Chalamet—who practically floated onto the Oscars red carpet in a custom yellow Givenchy suit—Kylie made sure to stay right by his side inside the Dolby Theatre. The 'Dune: Part Two' star, 29, may have walked the carpet solo, but it was full-on PDA with Kylie, 27, once inside.

But instead of standing up to greet the EGOT-winning legend, Kylie decided to stay seated in the front row and extend her hand as if she were some kind of Hollywood queen. Ever the gentleman, Elton kissed her hand—but fans on social media weren't having it.

"Oh no no no you get up for Sir Elton John!!!" one posted on Instagram.

"That is Sir Elton John. You stand when being greeted to him," another insisted.

To make things messier, Kylie did stand up when it came to chatting with her boyfriend’s co-stars. Wearing a slinky black Miu Miu gown, she was seen happily getting up to greet both of Chalamet’s 'A Complete Unknown' leading ladies—Monica Barbaro and Elle Fanning.

In fact, she also stood up for some friendly chit-chat with Edward Norton (who starred alongside Timothee in 'A Complete Unknown') and his wife, Shauna Robertson, the Daily Mail reported.
