WASHINGTON, DC: Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair Lara Trump weighed in on last week's Democratic National Convention (DNC), saying that Democrats were focused on slamming former president Donald Trump instead of mentioning their policy goals, The Hill reported.

Appearing on Fox News' 'Sunday Morning Futures' on August 25, the Trump daughter-in-law said the Chicago DNC was attempting to run on "hating" the GOP presidential nominee.

Labeling the event as "a lot of Trump-hating," Lara said, "It seems like they're attempting to run on hating Donald Trump, on platitudes, on vibes, and on emotion."

Before attacking the DNC for being a Trump-hating event, Lara drew a contrast between July's Republican National Convention (RNC) and the Democratic event.

"We were very proud of the Republican National Convention. I think what people saw with our convention is that you actually saw a path forward for this country," she said.

The former president's daughter-in-law added that the people witnessed the MAGA spearhead and others at the RNC laying out how they were "going to make life better for you," which she claimed was not heard on a single night of the DNC.

"You saw unity with our party from the [Republican convention]. You had a very positive feeling coming out of that," Lara asserted.

After criticizing the rival party's event for targeting her father-in-law, she said it was not going to provide food for the people, lower gas prices, or get them out of wars around the world.

"Donald Trump had a plan. He put it in place in 2016 when he won that election. He has done this job before, and we demonstrated at our convention how he would do it again. You haven't heard a single thing from the Democrats on the other side," Lara added.

The RNC co-chair's remarks mirrored former Trump's sentiment last week, expressing he was "pretty sad" that Democrats, including his predecessor Barack Obama, chose to attack him at the DNC.

Kamala Harris' national polling average saw an improvement since the conclusion of the DNC, as per The Hill and Decision Desk HQ polls, where the vice president is leading by 49.5% support, 3.6% above the GOP nominee's 45.9%.

Internet divided Lara Trump claims DNC was focused on 'hating' Donald Trump

Netizens held different opinions on Lara Trump's claim that the DNC was "Trump-hating" event. While one group supported her assertion, another noted they hated the real estate mogul.

"Not attempting. It's their motto. The F-ing source of TDS syndrome," one social media user said.

Another wrote, "Shut up snowflake your father in law has ran on hating biden and kamala it's called politics get used to it."

"Yep DNC is a platform of hate," one person remarked.

Another noted, "Right now it's their best move and all they got. MAGA underestimates the depth of hatred many people have for the Bad Orange Man, the GOP needs to improve its ground game in Toss up States or DJT will lose."

"Exactly. Because they have nothing else to run on," someone else commented.

One person remarked, "The Trumpsters can dish it out, based on lies, grifting and treachery, but they sure can’t take it. Truth hurts."

"She's absolutely right! They have no policies that they are running on except the ones they've stolen from President Trump," another added.

One individual wrote, "Most of us don't need any help from the DNC. He does a great job on his own."
