WASHINGTON, DC: Lara Trump has been slammed online as she reportedly avoided answering how much money from Donald Trump’s campaign donation is being used for his many legal woes.

Donald was found guilty of 34 charges in his hush money trial on May 30, 2024, making him the first former American president to be criminally tried and convicted. He is expected to go to jail for up to four years.

Donald Trump gets millions in donations

Along with it, the Republican faces three additional criminal cases. However, despite it all, his supporters have not stopped backing him, and as reported by mediaite.com, the campaign received around $53 million within a few hours after his conviction.

Lara Trump reportedly on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ on Sunday, June 2, proudly spoke about it as she told host Kasie Hunt, “What we understand is that when somebody donates even $1, Kasie, to a campaign, they are going to ultimately turn out and vote for that person. They are bought in.”

Hunt then asked the Republican National Committee Co-Chair, “How much of the money that being raised that has been raised is gonna be used to pay for the former president’s legal fees?”

But without giving a clear answer, Lara replied, “Well, everybody has an option whenever they donate to our joint fundraising agreement to opt out of it.”

She continued, “It is a very small percentage of the money that we take in. And so, I would have to say, we’ll wait and see what is necessary in the future.”

“Obviously, this has been a very costly thing – not just for Donald Trump and his campaign, but for America,” the 41-year-old added.

Netizens accuse Trump family of money laundering

Meanwhile, people thrashed Lara Trump and her family online and accused them of using campaign donations for Donald Trump's legal woes. On Facebook, one user commented, “They’re not done laundering it yet.”

Another user wrote, “Every single time they say ‘just wait until…’, it never happens.”

One person shared, “Corrupt.”

Mocking Lara, an X user tweeted, “Q: How much of the money that's been raised is going to be used to pay for Trump's legal fees? Lara Trump: I would have to say, we'll wait and see what is necessary in the future. So, all of it then.🤡 #ProudBlue #TrumpCrimeFamily  #TrumpIsADisgrace #TrumpForPrison2024.”

Another alleged, “If she Steals from kids cancer charities she’ll clean the RNC out as well. You can almost hear them stuffing money in their pockets.”

“Lara will NEVER give a straight answer about the RNC's money and how much goes to the Trumps. The #GOP let her walk right in the door so they are getting what they deserve - the end of the Republican Party,” one person added.
